Are those expensive? I have not seen those sort of things before...I usually just use baby wipes to wipe Scottie's beard after he eats and his feet after training...works good for me. Not too expensive too...smile.gif

I don't think it will be that hot though, if we can find some decent trees for shade. About 2 weeks ago, I was at the MKA obedience trials from 8am and I stayed there until like, 2pm. It wasn't really that hot to be honest, coz we had those nice trees to get shelter under, and sometimes it's breezy too. So, if we can find a spot with a good amount of trees,it shouldn't be a problem I guess smile.gif

I guess it depends on the 'quality' of the dog, if you know how to look for them based on the breed's standard. I'm not good at judging all these things, but you can get a book and read up on the standards to compare if the pup meets that standard smile.gif I think there would always be a reason that breeders put up such a high price, but there are SOME unethical breeders who might just tell you that a pure black Min. Schnauzer is RARE, and because of that, the price is high rolleyes.gif

Sure, a black Min. Schnauzer can be hard to find, but there should also be other factors as to why the price is high. Don't fall for the 'This is very rare color leh' kind of scheme. I've seen this happen to my neighbour before. She bought a two-colored beagle when the breeder told her the dog's color is a rare color....but in actual fact, a two-colored beagle is a fault, and cannot be shown in confirmation shows. Some more she paid RM1200 for the pup. doh.gif

Perhaps you could ask someone who has more experience in judging the breed's standard to come with you when you want to view the pup...smile.gif Or better yet, you can do a bit of research, and then bombard the breeder with questions about it. A good breeder would have a broad understanding about the standard and can tell you the strengths and weaknesses of the pup(s). If he/she cannot answer your questions, my guess is that it's something else there.

yea.. black MS is generally more expensive then salt & pepper and black & silver. I asked before, a year ago, asking price ranging RM2 to RM2.5k. Same as white MS.. about that price range. Check whether it is full black, or having white patch somewhere.. and then you can nego with it smile.gif

Skin irritation could be caused by alcohol, I think...most of the baby wipes now don't have alcohol already. And yes, it's very mild. smile.gif

I have not fed Scottie that brand before...but then I did notice that his breath was really bad when he was on kibble. After I switched him to raw, his breath was never as smelly as his kibble time. Have you thought of feeding Rose a raw diet? smile.gif If you're planning to stick with kibble, perhaps you could give Rose some chewies to let her do some workout for her teeth. Kibble is not exactly a good teeth cleaner, if I may say so.

If Rose's breath is very bad, you might want to check her mouth to see if there are any rotten teeth? Too much buildup on the teeth can cause rotten teeth --> gum problems, bad breath and more complications. If so, a trip to the vet might be needed.

Another thing that my vet recommended was to brush their teeth...which I tried with Scottie when he was on kibble. The toothpaste was not cheap though...about RM30 plus per tube. It's not like our human toothpaste though...it's edible, and we don't have to rinse off like the human toothpaste. I used to brush Scottie's teeth twice a week (when I give him a bath), but the vet recommended to brush everyday like us humans. After switching to raw, I didn't need to brush Scottie's teeth now...smile.gif

I did register for Scottie last year...haven't done it for this year though. Probably should, but I'm not so free these days...

What I did was go to the DBKL branch nearest to my place, and ask for a form to fill in. You will have to fill in your particulars, and your dog's as well...then if I remember correctly, you would need to provide a photocopy of your IC and also your water / electricity bill for your address thingy. Charge was RM10 per dog...not sure if it's raised or not.

I don't like the licence that DBKL gives out though...so ugly! >.<" The ones in Penang were so nice (a friend of mine showed me once...it was bone-shaped one! So cute!), or even like the ones in MPSJ, where it's smaller and round...not square and huge like the ones we get. sweat.gif Didn't really get any use from it though...I have never had a problem with officers coming up to me and asking for Scottie's licence, even though I take him training every Sunday to Ampang, and sometimes I bring him out as well.

Only 1 per house eh? Weird...I thought we were allowed the maximum of 2 dogs per house? Probably changed their 'rules' again... rolleyes.gif
