well snacks are better suited for the first steps of training.
I myself do not use snacks anymore unless i need to reinforce the reward concept.

Kimi, my dog, does tricks and instructions without treats because i hardly use them, most of the time anyways. I use high pitched voice (like girl), clap my hands, smile, cute-talk, and a lot of excitement. A lot of "good girl".

Kinda silly for a man but it works la...

So use snacks at first. Randomly switch between snacks and praise.
Like, say command, the 1st time he does it, give snack. Then say command. If 2nd time he does it, praise.
Alternate it la

Slowly move away from treats for the known command.
For new command, probably start with treat.

last Saturday we went tot Melacca 1 day trip, she was super happy, eat a lot !
night time we bring her to eye on M'sia, but she was very tired and not happy cos we hide her in d bag

the 4th gathering on 5 April 2009(Sunday), 8.30 am whose going? Please let me know. Yesterday i went to BU park. I saw a lot ppl they. I think they got gathering. All different breed and they bring foods there also. Like picnic. Do we want to do like that?

Added on March 16, 2009, 11:33 pmI am so so so angry with boy boy. Last few days he bite vincent's wallet. Then today he bite my spectacle lance into 2 pieces. Haiz      2 days continually he take out the rubbish from toilet dustbin and clothes from my room's basket.  I punished him stay inside his playpen tonight. Normally he is free all around the house and sleep with me one.

I did register for Scottie last year...haven't done it for this year though. Probably should, but I'm not so free these days...

What I did was go to the DBKL branch nearest to my place, and ask for a form to fill in. You will have to fill in your particulars, and your dog's as well...then if I remember correctly, you would need to provide a photocopy of your IC and also your water / electricity bill for your address thingy. Charge was RM10 per dog...not sure if it's raised or not.

I don't like the licence that DBKL gives out though...so ugly! >.<" The ones in Penang were so nice (a friend of mine showed me once...it was bone-shaped one! So cute!), or even like the ones in MPSJ, where it's smaller and round...not square and huge like the ones we get.  Didn't really get any use from it though...I have never had a problem with officers coming up to me and asking for Scottie's licence, even though I take him training every Sunday to Ampang, and sometimes I bring him out as well.

Dunno...last time I filled in the form, they wrote in the form need IC or something like that.

Eep...maybe they changed the ruling again. So hard to keep track of their things la. For a while, it was something else, then suddenly out of nowhere change again wan  But I don't think it's such a big deal actually with the licence thing...we're just doing it just in case I have a lot of friends who have multiple dogs at home who don't apply for licences for many years and they've not gotten into any trouble at all

haha.. sure... my kenji and bebe want to meet all others dog n be friends wit them as well... if u dont have transport to go ikano. Maybe u can use public transport lo.. from ur place ( i duno where u stay) take lrt till kelana jaya station.. there will have FREE shuttle bus to IKEA (which next to IKEA is Ikano power Centre). FYI, Ikea n ikano are link... and opposite of it is The Curve which is also shopping centre. You can see the bus chart schedule when u reach kelana jaya there.. so recommend u go earlier... but of coz u cant bring ur dog to there lo coz u taking public transport...

P/s: when u taking the bus to Ikano u will pass through One Utama shopping centre.. the BU Park is just behind/beside (near) the new wing....

hehe luckily so far not all 3 period same time. but anyways, they are indoor furkids - dun go outside at all. if period, i dun bring them out for walks lor. but anyways, i got contingency plan - i buy them baby underwear hehehe...
