My Wilbur will not pee poo at his toilet.....he will go to our room toilet to pee poo. He will jt follow whatever we do..... doh.gif

Now he more naughty, he dun want to sleep on his bed...he bite it and spoil it.....when we close the light to sleep, he will just jum to our bed and sleep near our leg side..... doh.gif

Do you all have any idea to train your puppy not sleep on the bed???? Although he is not disturb us, but we feel that better not sleep at our bed lor.....

well snacks are better suited for the first steps of training.
I myself do not use snacks anymore unless i need to reinforce the reward concept.

Kimi, my dog, does tricks and instructions without treats because i hardly use them, most of the time anyways. I use high pitched voice (like girl), clap my hands, smile, cute-talk, and a lot of excitement. A lot of "good girl".

Kinda silly for a man but it works la...

So use snacks at first. Randomly switch between snacks and praise.
Like, say command, the 1st time he does it, give snack. Then say command. If 2nd time he does it, praise.
Alternate it la

Slowly move away from treats for the known command.
For new command, probably start with treat.

Ok...

I use smack to train Puffy but she very happy and just want catch the snack..
I think i should need to give more patience on her already...

Puffy like to pee on carpet or fabric on floor... This also make me headache...
and i thinking to buy wee wee pad holder.. to pretend as carpet for her.. is it good idea?

Erm i assume ur asking me about my Mookie since i think there's no other Mookie MS here..

She's doing pretty alright, still small as ever, getting more cheekier, always buli Nana, chase Nana around everywhere and play with her...Nana will always jump on higher grounds so Mookie cannot reach her..

She also knows how to watch TV once in a while when have interesting shows..i remembered once i was watching the HK tv series 'When a dog loves a cat', Mookie always look at my monitor when there's a doggie scene, her head will turn one side to listen to the conversation..

Now we are trying to teach her to bark on command..she always gets excited when my husband comes home and only my husband can make her bark..so if we can train her to bark on command, may want to teach her tricks on mathematics..saw my husband colleague Dalmation did that trick b4, its pretty cool..

If you're not planning on breeding the dogs, may I suggest that you either neuter Wilbur or spay the female, so that you won't get 'accidents'?

Female dogs usually have their heats when they're about 6-8 months old. It would be about twice a year...do a little Google search on the reproductive cycle of dogs...I'm sure you'll learn more about it. smile.gif

if i plan to breed the dog, get child for them....then, will the male always hump the female??? or will only happen during the female on heat time?

Coz i know i will be sad when Wilbur and Wawa get older and leave me cry.gif ....so, if there have child, i still can remember their face mah....

Use the mineral water bottle with stones. Shake it loudly when it jumps on the bed. works for me.
Also put a cloth/bed/basket/kennel/ near where it can sleep.

Once you shake, it'll jump off. Then when it goes onto the cloth/etc, praise praise praise.

I have to say that breeding is so much more than just getting a puppy to keep...you would also have to consider the mother's care before, during, and after pregnancy, the cost of *knock on wood* a Caeserean birth (yes, there really is for dogs), and the OTHER pups that are born just to name a few. It's fine to keep just one of their pups, but what about the rest? Can you afford to keep them all if you can't find homes for them? If there are genetic defects from the birth, what will you do with the pups? That you would need to seriously consider (and possibly do some reading on it) before embarking on breeding.

But then, Wilbur is still very young, so I guess you have plenty of time to consider it all smile.gif Humping is not necessarily sexual all the time...I've seen Kenji (my sister's Chihuahua) humping my Scottie quite some times already. He does it to show he's dominant over Scottie. Most of the time though, if it IS sexual, it will be during the heat cycles...it will depend on the female herself if she wants to allow the male to mate, so you would need to keep an eye on them. Of course, neutering Wilbur would help eliminate the problem coz they would not have the urge already after neutering.

Kimi can go on a >8 hour stint without peeing but when i put her on the right place, she pee like mad.. haha

Haha ok see u there, remember to bring a towel along in case Kimi goes into the water..its also to wipe the sand off their body b4 u put them in the car..

Some dogs are easy to toilet train, some will take longer...my poodle only took us 1 week...Mookie took us months...can pengsan cleaning up after her pee N poo for months... rclxub.gif

Female dogs can hump each other also like mine...if u have 1 pair of male n female, its advisable to spay the female to prevent unwanted pregnancies...female dogs are on heat twice a year and i tell u its not easy also taking care of female dogs on heat...especially the ones can jump up everywhere and the blood is quite a lot one..some female dogs know how to lick themself clean...some don't...so u can imagine my headache especially i have 2 female furkids. rclxub.gif

Here i share some of my own experience... Bebe did love to sleep on our bed last time. He will jump up and sleep nearby our leg and enjoying the wind blowing from the fan.

Well at first we did welcome him to sleep with us but after a while i feel not comfortable enuff becoz i can't turn my body freely scare will terkick or terhit him..however i did terkick n hempap my leg on his body several times..each time he terkejut from his sleep while i still sleeping like pig (my gf told me tat)

After tat he also think the bed is quiet "dangerous" for him and he cant sleep well, eventually he never sleep on the bed anymore when i was sleeping on the bed (unless i call him up) hehe brows.gif

Haha clever nia Bebe...both my furkids get to sleep on our bed during weekends only...Nana never sleeps in 1 location for long and moves around therefore i think she is sleepless whole night also one...as for Mookie she can sleep in 1 spot for very long even though got ppl squash her or anything, she will just move around that area and curl back to sleep...these days Mookie love to sleep in between our pillows, directly in the middle...she knows how to rest her head on the pillow..very cute..and i have to say both my furkids very smart..if the middle no space or kena squash by my husband often, both of them knows how to come to my side and sleep cos they know i wont squash them, rather give them more sleeping space...hehe
