I have did peak via Pangsoon in a leisurely pace for 5 hours.. but it can make things a lot slower when it's rainy season, I remember there's a portion which is rather muddy..
The way via Janda Baik, i might want to do one time peak via Janda Baik to have a feel how it looks like.. going down could be faster.. I think I went down to Pangsoon from peak around 3 hours..

Saga peak is the name the local gives to this peak which enable you to access this hill from Ampang, it's actually Ahpek hill hike (various confusing names for this hill). Lots of exercise equipment that the local build on it..
In Saga peak, there's a lot of tents and shelter (overhead canvas? or what you call it). From there you can see a little of Ampang and KLCC from one of the window near the slope.
Actually I thought that our locals behind too "kind" sometimes and overdeveloped these trails.. they are constantly building stuff, clearing more trails.. causing more erosion too.. I am not sure if that's something that everyone wants..
Recently I went to the hill in Puchong (they call it wawasan?).. It is suppose to be a research forest reserve by UPM, I felt bad trespassing into it.. Worse when the local try to "build" stuff again..
Trust me if it is raining and via JB you expecting tiger leech attack. It is not that difficult but why do trans Nuang when you are heading back to the same way.

Nuang > Lata Chemperoh 2 hours
Lata Chemperoh > Nuang 2 hours
Nuang > Pangsoon 7 hours (assumingly you guys are demoralized)

Let me explain the confusion where most Malaysian unaware. Ah Pak hill is the one located near to the waterfall. Saga hill is another small stop area via Jalan Saga 28. The whole area actually called Bukit Puteh forest reserve. The actual peak of Bukit Puteh forest reserve (approximate 420m if I am not mistaken) was marked with a beirut at Route C via Saga.
I did attempt to find the actual Puchong hill or some called Wawasan. There is a beirut that mark that location as well but after 4 attempts on locating it and fail, lazy wanna do that anymore
Trespassing is the biggest issue as the land is owned by the Selangor Government and lease to UPM Forestry department for research purposes. There is a deep pool approximate 12 ft deep. The last time I went it is still pristine. Not sure about now. Trespassing will cost us RM10,000 if not mistaken but the local are not bothered. Biasala Malaysia style!
