I never been there  inside before. So we 4 person member from lowyat explore inside. It was a bit tough actually. Due to we go in deep inside. Over the no go zone area. sweat.gif  And risk of get caught.

I love explore. Finish is not a problem. Just age and longtime, bone cracking problem. sweat.gif

Where can buy this leech socks? Is it breathable?
*
Just let the leech bite. Part of the process. Channel those old blood to them.

Those only prevent leaf leeches not tiger leeches. LOL.

I once hike in Gunung Liang, there is a bird that follow us the whole night when we hike.. and quack loudly as in saying: you are intruding our territory..

We were too tired to bother after 10 hours of hiking tho..

After a while encounter with snakes and insects seems pretty the norm...
I do hate leeches because I usually have very bad allergy and itchiness after that?
*
So far no birds follow me anywhere. Even if it LEW or Tumang Batak.

You do day trip of course tired. Maybe the bird tried to tell you - stop day trip, enjoy camping.

Most mountains in Perak got tiger leeches. Those are real s*ckers.

Allergy reaction I am not sure but itchiness yeah. Quite normal if you are a regular hiker.

Those fat type normally in the river ?

Brown type normally you see on the ground or river bank.

Those green type you wouldn't realize them as they are normally attached to leaves.

can swim in that lake or not?
*
There is a hot spring and a waterfall nearby the lake campsite.

Rinjani easy peasy via Sembalun to Senaru.

The other route vice versa I have to admit tougher.
