Today is the first time I been there, alone.
Not familiar with the area, and in close to complete darkness, I got lost.
I went into the side way (away from the main trail) & ended up at no where else & it is very steep IMHO at those paths.
Luckily they lay out the tiny paper pieces, I follow that out to the park in the middle & ask around folks there for exit.
That hill is not that high & the main trail is not that challenging but the compound is big & got many splits.
The scenery not as nice as Broga, but I didn't climb up to the look out tower (maybe you can get a better view there).
The crowd is not as much as compare to Saga/Broga that I been to (or maybe I was too early today.)

The good thing about Broga is, it's straight forward. One way up & down.
And the scenery there is nicer.

In that case you'll need to start from the bottom at around 5.30am (IIRC).
Coz back then I arrived there around that time too.

This is what I captured when I gotten up there.

On thing to add, the crowd there is crazy. laugh.gif

i love gasing as a starter, bringing all beginners there for a good hike, sometimes too lazy to go far, gasing it is!

the route i usually take is from the main entrance, then all the up to the tower, then turn left to the suspension bridge, make a loop, then back down, towards the stream, then back up the tower, then walk the exit route to right out the playground nod.gif

Yes, after I came back home & check on the map, those that you mentioned are the main trail.
Today I wondered around until the Muslim cemetery. tongue.gif

Apek/Saga are actually two hills that joined together, which you can travel from one to another without realizing you're already there.
Saga is consider the newer trail that got developed.
The entrance to Apek is from Cuepak & the entrance to Saga is from Taman Saga (obviously, the similarity in naming)
I only been there once which is around end of June this year & I went in from Taman Saga.
To me I feel like the ascending part at the early stage is tiring as the steps are quite big, once got past there the rest are nothing to talk about, just like you're walking along the flat bumpy road. The trail are quite wide.
The point that worth a visit is the water fall.

No, just that there is a new entrance from Saga now.
I never been to the entrance from Cuepack so I can't comment much.
The map is still valid.
