RM30? So Cheap? I'm gonna go buy it.

Last time I asked the shop NEXT TO Fitness Concept in MidValley, the ciput shop quoted me RM100 for exactly the same stuff I can buy for RM30 in Bintang supermarket.

I can't access Youtube from my place. I remember there was a video on how to do the abs wheelie. The thigh must be 90 degrees to the floor when you are up so that you don't use your legs to pull yourself back. And the back should be rounded a little at all times to prevent injuries. Is this the video?
*
yea, i was also surprised when i noe the price...

i am not vy sure if it is the same video or not, but it did mentioned that the tight must be 90degree, and back should be rounded, like doing a crunch...

the video got show what is wrong and what is right when working on the wheel

having some doubt here;

(calorie intake > calorie burn) + no workout = fat produced ---> (I)
(calorie intake > calorie burn) + workout = muscle ---> (II)

(I). excessive calorie will be converted to fat
(II). we need calorie (of course and protein) to build muscle

question is, what if we workout and take in excessive calorie at the same time? more than enough calorie to build our muscles. will it be converted to fat?

*dunno if it is calorie of carbs i should be using in this question*

you get both muscle and fat. how much muscle and how much fat depends on how much is the caloric excess and how is your body's nutritional partitioning and type of food you take.

*calorie is what you're concerned with. excessive calorires coming from fats also gonna make u fat.
*
ic... aiseh... susah wey...

not enuf calorie, cant build muscles, take in too much calorie, fat comes in sweat.gif

gonna try n error then...

Tats why we have bulking and cutting phase.
*
ok, got it... thanks for both the replies:)

bulk then cut

facing another problem, my dumbell curl, left hand is weaker than right hand...

left cant complete the set, but right can...

how am i going to train my left hand?

train additional with lower weight for left hand or decrease right hand rep with higher weight(means left hand gets more rep)?

QUOTE(Neek @ Apr 8 2009, 06:08 PM)
if u car alot about imbalance, your right hand would need to wait for the left hand.
you finish yuor reps with yuor left hand. then u cut off your training to yuor right hand when u reach the same amount.
example, your left can do 10 kgs 10 times. and your right can do 10 kgs 15 times.
so u do your left first, then if u can reach only 10, you right hand u stop when u reach 10 also.

and use dumbells for better single arm isolation. dun use barbells. the stronger side will pull the weight up more than the left keeping the imbalance.
*
yea i am doing it like that... feel sorry for both my hand... lol (right wan more but cant, left cant take more sweat.gif )

so means i jz go on with the weight and do the same reps for both hand huh?

or lower the weight + more reps is more efficient?

QUOTE(mofonyx @ Apr 8 2009, 06:09 PM)

I've managed to gain from 59KG to 77KG with my bodyfat levels being just about the same as it was when I began. Probably slightly higher with 2% more bf but that's probably because I've not watched my diet since the past year. There is a method of doing it, and it's not even as complex or troublesome as the velocity diet and all that.
*
yea, i am still experimenting with my diet... cz jz really follow it for 2weeks, cant see any difference yet...

thanks for the info pizzaboy

Okay I didn't want to post at the last post of the page lol. Thanks Kirks for taking that post

Anyway I found my resource. Why do I spend 30 minutes of my time looking this up? Because, because, because a lot of people on LYN (or anywhere else for that matter) thinks that cardio is bad for you. How can something so healthy be bad for you?! Insane.

First off: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/satter2.htm
Second very informative thread with great replies by Layne Norton (that guy is a beast)

http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=99420

There's so much to be gained from cardio.
*
thanks for the info bro... then i will continue my cardio routine...

80-85kg means 40kg-42.5kg per arm.

However 70lbs is equivalent to 31.81kg, so there is a deficit weight of 8.2kg to 10kg compared to the barbell.
*
dude, i think what they are talking about is not the weight u can lift, its about the weight ur muscle can stabilize with...

ur muscle can lift/stabilize an amount of weight for barbell is totally different for dumbell...

take not that barbell is linked, thus the weight is not distributed evently, let say if u r stronger on right hand, thus ur right hand will carry more weight to help out ur left hand which is weaker, when u are using dumbell, it is not linked, thus both ur hands in carrying the same weight, no cheating for right hand...

if u get what i mean...

ok, based on these two articles stated that cardio do helps on our muscle growth...

my question here is, is 'over-cardio' kills/slowdown the growth of our muscles?

thanks in advance~

Is Whey the equivalent to 'weight gain' powder? If yes, I know what is whey.

Btw, is my current light exercise regime fine? or do i have to exercise more?

Also, what form of milk is better? Fresh milk i.e. Dutch Lady, Marigold or milk powder form+nestum?
*
to make it easy;

whey = a type of protein

weight gain powder = protein + carbs

u can jz add some carbs source (like glucoline oat or cereal) to ur whey to get the same effect as weight gain powder
