Well, it's a common issue for razer mouse to heat up.. It's due to the heat produced by the logo led..

the heat is upfront, after the sensor. anyway, logo on diamondback 3g is not lighted

QUOTE(Punish @ Mar 4 2009, 11:15 PM) Not really. I used G5 before and I found it almost the same performance as DA.QUOTE(jimmylim85 @ Mar 5 2009, 12:20 AM) what makes optical engine superior than laser? besides laser can work most of the surface and higher sensitivity. Optical engine is old school. Sometimes not the newer the better... |

no doubt laser sensor is good and can work most of the surface and higher sensitivity....
but in pro gaming world especially counterstrike...they much prefer the good old Optical....the reason is the Laser sensor is not mature enuff....the Laser sensor just cannot take a fast and vigorous movement like Optical does.....the Laser sensor just gonna skip reading and spoil your aim.....from the review i read the best mouse on the market today tats can handle the job well was DA, MX518, Microsoft Intelli series.....all of them using an Optical engine.....maybe u cant feel the different...but if your playing in the highest level.....small detail like tat can really make a different.... Yes, all depends on mousepad la, bro.. The diff sensor doesn't really affect much.. Even my Ikari laser more superior than optical mice, especially in much higher pace game than cs1.6/css like quake 3 and enemy territory wolfenstein.. Oh yeah, I do play them competitively online around the world, so I know how awful it is if ur mice does not track well.. (aka kena owned)
Factors such as the mousepad (smoothness) and mouse design (gripping style and comfortness) play major roles in ur accuracy rather than the sensor thingy.. |

My DA works perfectly at both Everglide and Goliathus mousepad
Same goes to my G5. |
