obviously ur not a hardcore overclocker. the difference can be seen in benchmark scores.

and yes, it's really hard to tell whether if it is stable. the only way is to run lots of benchmark and games. after many runs, and it still doesn't crash or noticed any artifacts, then ur oc is considered stable

yep, i'm nt 1. smile.gif nx time i check my 3D Mark06 score..
My current 3DMark 06 score is 11600+...ill run it again afte OC..
My game will oni lag if there's too many shadows in the place wer im playing in the game. If i reduce my shadow settings to High or Medium, it wont lag.. But 8800GT shud deal tht wit no probs.. sad.gif

Added on March 30, 2009, 6:58 pmGuys, 1 more ques, wats d diff between GTX260 and GTX260-216SP..??
Other than 216 shaders and 55nm ovr previous 192shaders n 65nm, wat r other diff's?

If u put it that way, by just looking at those numbers only. obviously those are the only difference.

But, if u look at the performance that is being translated from those figures, it's a BIG DIFFERENCE.

Higher overclockability, less heat, better clock to clock performance, lesser cost to produce for Nvidia etc.

Baiscally 216SP 55nm OWNS 192SP 65nm, BIG TIME

Holy Shet! Any idea why my card's fan speed suddenly raised till 100%? After some time gaming, the computer just shuts off and the fan is running at max speed, lol...

Yup, the pc was still on but the screen just went blank. I was playing The Last Remnant and yes the GC was still on and the fan speed @ 100%. Just happened again, when I heard the sudden increase of the fan's loudness I went out to check temperature of GC was 85C, never happened before only today, what is the problem?

Added on March 30, 2009, 9:28 pmOh okay, I just set the Max FPS to 60 and everything is alright now haha, my bad.

Yeah, gonna test it a lil' longer before I jump into any conclusions. Didn't know higher FPS means more heat.

NVIDIA Brings GeForce GTX 275 Launch Forward to April 2nd

NVIDIA has been paying close attention to every move of its tough competitor AMD Radeon HD 4890. GeForce GTX275 won’t be available until April 13th according to our previous information. And later AMD brought Radeon HD 4890 launch forward to April 2nd. Of course NVIDIA never wants to be left behind, so they also accelerates the release of GeForce GTX 275.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX275 will be launched on April 2nd, which means the two chipmakers will fight head-on with each other. Let’s just wait and see what would happen.
