My Zotac gtx285 AMP! died today.
Less than 1 week of usage. Two gtx200 series gc died recently.
Dunno what to say liao...

List of gc died on me.
Gigabyte 8800GT - took 5 months for RMA (record), actual usage 7days
Gigabyte GTX280 - still under RMA, nearly 2 months liao, actual usage 5days
Zotac GTX285 AMP!- RIP today, actual usage 5days

ive try last night raising the gtx260 core into 675mhz also no prob
but i set the fan to run 75%
seems palit gtx very OCable.. later gonna try 700Mhz

700mhz also stable...i tried d at my card...should be the same...

It could be due to many reason when the whole screen paused for a while and return to normal. But u have rule them out one by one. Yah u can try to reinstall the driver to see if it helps. Btw, does the 'pause' happen in windows?

one thing bout the card is that it is frikkin huge.
nearly made me thinking of running my rig naked when i 1st saw it out of the box.

NVIDIA GT300 Set to Tape Out in June

GT300 is a new-generation high-end GPU incorporating advanced technologies including DirectX 11 and CUDA 3.0. There were wispers that GT300 featuring brand-new structure would come out at the end of this year, but according to Theinquirer, NVIDIA 40nm GT300 is set to tape out by June.

On the other hand, Fudzilla says we can expect AMD’s first 40nm desktop GPU - RV740 in March. The new 40nm thing is said to be entry level, selling from €35 to €70 and includes GeForce 9400GT, 9500GT and 9600GT.
