To be more precise, it remove all the traces of the previous driver after you do driver uninstallation, since there will be traces of old driver even though you already uninstall it, usually in the registry

EDIT: How proper usage of driver cleaner:
1) Install driver cleaner and uninstall old driver
2) Reboot PC and start in safe mode, run driver cleaner and clean the related driver, and cab cleaner (not compulsory but recommended)
3) Reboot and install new driver

why don't u install the latest nvidia 185.81 beta driver?

The 185.81 give me problems, slower benchmarks, stuttering when gaming but from what I read it only for Windows XP user. But 185.66 and 185.68 runs great, Xehanort I suggest you try those beta driver, even if its beta it doesn't mean it's unstable. If I stay with the official, I still can't run H.A.W.X with SLi right now

alot new games also cannot support SLI right now...not only Hawk...my last remant and empire total war also cannot support SLI

Unless u use beta drivers lor.... SLI really gave Last Remnant a big boost during the last time I tried the benchmark and gameplay especially at the resolution I'm currently running which is 2560x1600.... I hope NVIDIA will update the drivers soon.... 

Hi guys, i just bought a XFX 9500GT. everything is ok but when i installed the samsung 2233sw drivers + nvidia latest drivers 182.50

samsung driver ask me whether to install analog or digital... i chose digital

i restart pc.... when enter windows ... my graphics is all messed up ... i can't even click anything... what seems to be the problem?

it seems newer forceware like the recent 185.85 tend to resize ur screen smaller if ure using 1920 x 1080 or high reso (not sure for smaller reso).need to manually select resize hdtv desktop to readjust the screen size

it's very ocable...easily to OC 740Mhz core without any modded...

last time my 8800gt run at full speed all the time...how come my bill not super expensive?    ......anyway GT200 series graphic card will downclock to 300mhz core clock and 100mhz memory clock during idle

My gpuz shows that all my gpus (8500gt, 8800gts, 9600gso) are running 100 percent at all times too

only gtx 200 series have that power saving feature so i think its normal i guess
