gtx 260 is single gpu graphic card
SLI definitely has better performance than single gc
but SLI or Crossfire has micro stuttering problems (google it for more info)
that's why ppl said tat singple gpu is better

i'm planning to change to green camp and I'm planning to buy GTX260. So which one is better. Palit (OCed version) or Gainward Golden sample. Any other suggestion?

BTW, my budget is RM900. Thanks
*
if i remember correctly, both gtx260 are pre-overclock at core clock 625Mhz
since u have RM900, i recommend palit (RM909), pm Cex/boonykun
Gainward gtx260 GS cost RM930 in PCzone

QUOTE(terencetoo @ Mar 15 2009, 02:30 AM)
Is a 32LG53FR (Full HD)

This LCD 32 inch TV has 4 speakers (output of 200 watts). It has 100 programs or channels with features like PIP (1 Tuner), auto-off, auto sound leveler and OSD. It has 30000:1 Dynamic contrast ratio, brightness of 500 cd/m2 and Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and has aspect ratio of 16:9 Wide Screen format. It has S-video input, 2 component inputs, PC input and 3 HDMI Inputs (ver 1.3). It comes with 5 ms of response time and viewing angle of 178 degree.

Need some input please so i can enjoy the benefits of using 1080p via HDMI cable.  cry.gif

ur 9800gtx+ is using dvi to hdmi adapter, right??
try dvi again, if still have problems, then mayb the dvi output has problem

same memory bandwidth & memory size with gtx 260
same number of stream processor with gtx 280 & gtx 285
similar architecture with gtx 295
seems it looks like a hybird gc tat combine several features of gtx200 series blink.gif
so, the ascending order for gtx200 series shud be like below:

gtx260>gtx260 core 216>gtx275>gtx280>gtx285>gtx295

im also rookie tongue.gif btw, here my suggestion
i think not so worth coz 4870 performance similar with gtx260
512MB version & 1GB version's performance is same if u play games in lower resolution (lower than 1920x1080 i think) except something like crysis & warhead
u can wait till gtx275 released or the gainward gtx285 tat u interest coz price might drop tat time smile.gif

Haha, you totally underestimated the GTX 260 Sonic. The performance is completely difference compare to the reference GTX 260. FYI the GTX260 Sonic's performance is almost identical to the stock GTX 280.

That's why I asked should I wait for the Gainward GTX285/275 or should I stick to my previous Idea which is buying either GTX260 sonic or HD4890.
*
wait until 4890 & gtx275 released as nobody know their actual performance right now
plus price may drop tat time thumbup.gif

i also need to place my hdd on lower place to plug in the gtx 260
besides that, i lower my dvd drive to 2nd position coz the cable kinda shorter when plug into mobo coz the gtx 260 just too long for my mid tower ATX casing sweat.gif
i think normal mid tower casing can store 1 gtx200 series gc without problem tongue.gif of coz u need to arrange other hardware position
btw, i sure cannot store 1 4850X2 inside my casing sweat.gif

Single-PCB GeForce GTX 295 in the Works

Traditionally, NVIDIA designs dual-GPU accelerators with two PCBs holding a GPU system each. With the GeForce GTX 295 and its competitive pricing, NVIDIA found itself in a difficult position, as it faces direct competition from ATI with its now competitively priced Radeon HD 4870 X2. On the one hand, escalating manufacturing costs due to extreme competition with the sub-$300 graphics card market, is making it difficult for NVIDIA to keep up with GTX 295 stocks, on the other its repercussions that include bad press and losses due to not being able to keep up with demand, have pushed NVIDIA to rethink a way to make the GeForce GTX 295.

Enter innovation. The company is reportedly redesigning the GeForce GTX 295, this time on a single PCB design, which ATI has been using for its dual-GPU accelerators. Both GPU systems of the GTX 295 will be placed on a single PCB. This is expected to significantly bring down manufacturing costs, allowing the company to keep up with demands and competitive pricing. Expreview sourced the drawings of one of the prototypes, which shows a long single PCB card, with a central fan. You will also observe that there is a back-plate in place. It shows that a number of memory chips will be populated on the back, and both GPU systems on the front. It will be an engineering challenge, to populate five major heat-producing components (two G200b GPUs, two NVIO2 processors, and one BR-03 bridge chip), 28 GDDR3 memory chips, and the VRM area to power it all. The new redesigned card may surface internally in April, and may enter production by May.
