you can't share system memory together with dedicated graphics memory. unless it's an intergrated graphics chipset, then you can share system memory.

1920x1080 isn't good enough for you?

yea i'm using 1920x1080
that's why i ask if add more ram will boost performance under that resolution?caue vista video setting there got show shared system memory to the graphic.the more ram the more memory will be shared

i use 4gb (3.3gb utilized since im using 32bit)



but only 1.4gb is shared to graphics

the 1.4gb shared to graphic do help in pump fps in high solution?

tht i duno lol since im using it since i set up my rig and im vry satisfied so far with my gaming performance

dun think tat shared memory got any "umps" for the graphics acceleration.

i use it to stuncock my friends who dunhav vista saying my gc have 2gb memory

those total graphics memory din help in video memory ?

got my xfx 9800 gt last sunday..lol

changed my XFX 8800GTS G92 to XFX GTX 260 last sunday as well

Nowdays ppl all playing with 1920X1080 Resolution....We focus on taht resolution. Bewteen this resolution all the perforamcne gap is 10FPS -15FPS in most game...so we give it 5%-10% gap only...a nickname.

See on Crysis FPS...it make no diffrent


We give that 5% nickname is you can see the PRice of Nvdia new card making...GTS250 >GTX260 >GTX275 >GTX285.....The price gap is so huge RM5xx > 700 > 1100 >1400 but the performance is so less in the gap all specaily GTX260 and GTX275....so we give it the nickname of 5% gap between each card for easy count

crysis is different story...the game runs like shit even if u have the fastest single card...there is at least 15% increase or even more over the GT250 aka 9800gtx or whatever it is(GT250 is not even a GT200 architecture)....my fps boost up about 40-50 fps in Call Of Duty 4 Multiplayer from upgrading 8800gt to gtx 260 so 5%?...what a joke...i would believe if u said gtx 260 to gtx 275 is 5%

so u make ur assumption on just 1 game and on just 1 reso????

and there's not a lot of people who game at fullhd reso.most of us game either at 1440x900 or 1680x1050 and at that reso the performance gap is more than 5%.

5% performance different or 5% price different?

<30 FPS very limited gameplay
30-40 FPS average yet very playable
40-60 FPS good gameplay
>60 FPS best possible gameplay

tried warhead max enthusiast and fullhd reso. i got playable framerate at 30-40 with gtx 260+ i7 920 both at stock.
if u said different only 10-15fps it does give a lot of different coz playable framerate is above 30. btw fps does matter

well regent for 700ringiit i didnt mind the whatever increase u might be saying. As long as i get better FPS in any games including my assasin creed/COD4 thats fine with me.

by the way the gtx 275 xfx also can be obtained for 900++ onie now

p/s: i got the card as a wedding gift anyway so didnt mind the price tag

LoL....long time did't see you in forum..maybe you too busy in other section....If you got GTX295 in your wedding gift ..sure more better...most lucky day
