QUOTE(metfan @ Mar 3 2009, 01:47 PM) Guys I have a question. If you are downloading from Rapidshare as free user, it can't be helped. Since celcombb used shared IP address I'm new to Celcom BB...using it starting last week oni... Whenever I want to download stuff from Rapidshare it will say that my IP address 203XXXXXXX is is still downloading.. I have to wait for XX minutes...after waiting still it says the same.. Why is this happening? I tried disconnecting and connecting back but the problem persists.. Any solution to this? Unless you are using Rapidshare premium account |

QUOTE(Massa @ Mar 3 2009, 01:38 PM) Yes I'm on Windows Vista, why?QUOTE(metfan @ Mar 3 2009, 01:47 PM) Guys I have a question. Celcom Broadband uses shared IP in which one IP will be shared by many other users. RapidShare does not allow one IP to do multiple downloads so you can say that there is another Celcom Broadband user that is currently downloading of RapidShare. However, this problem can be solved by purchasing a RapidShare premium account. I'm new to Celcom BB...using it starting last week oni... Whenever I want to download stuff from Rapidshare it will say that my IP address 203XXXXXXX is is still downloading.. I have to wait for XX minutes...after waiting still it says the same.. QUOTE(metfan @ Mar 3 2009, 02:00 PM) That's the downside of an ISP providing shared IP to their users instead of a dedicated IP to each of them. Companies like RapidShare are aware of this which is why they will have the feature to be able to download consecutively on one single IP. |

They are all wireless... perhaps not wimax.. hmm For Maxis 3G , the IP changes and they'll give you a direct IP. As in when you connect , your modem will give you an external IP - however most of the ports are blocked but it allows you to IP cycle and get a new IP address - this allows you to download services from rapidshare and so on. |
