- Celcom broadband is not a broadband as its capped speed is 64kbps/128kbps. So should they refund our money for the days we r capped? - 1st thing 1st,why did u sign up for it?if u dun realize about t&c b4,u cn terminate anytime frm now

- Email? Sure, but no attachment wadsoever. Word doc? Na-daa... Pic? Na-daa... Ppt file? Na-daa... Celcom advises u to print ur file and post it through mail. Postage fees r not Celcom's responsibility. - what email u use anyway???i'm using yahoo mail (non-std html version) & gmail (non-html version),no issue even fr attachment

- Online gaming? With high ping, how to play online gaming smoothly? Sure, can still play some games... Not all, unfortunately. - this 1,agreed!! even i never tried it

- E-transactions? Some online transactions have time-outs and due to Celcom slow speed, transactions are often either timed-out or completely infeasible. Oh, u have to pay bill to Celcom... ON TIME... Got it? - is this an excuse?i use cimbclicks & m2u wit no hassle,i paid all bills via m2u.

- Downloading? Sure, it takes days to complete a movie... Music? One album takes about a hour... Games? Depends on wad games, flash probably takes an hour or so. Bigger, nastier games takes FOREVER. - yup,it take days to complete a movie,so download it in a bunch & let it run in the bground. i downloaded few serials,complete full season up to season 4 now.what do u think?i guess maxis cant p2p at all fr certain package

- Browsing for information and news? Probably the only thing u can do for now. However, sites with high contents of pics or flash r not included. - i'm lucky enuff coz i neva need to browse the 'heavy sites' for whateva reason

- User generated content? Not sure wad it refers to... - i also dun know

- File sharing? With 10kbps, we cant even upload files properly, how to share? Even posting a reply here takes tens of refreshes. - does it means p2p?check my attachment

By right torrents aren't throttled with Celcom Broadband as they have the Fair Usage Policy to combat this.

yesterday i wrote a complain to SKMM ( yes Sunday ) and today i received a call fr Celcom correspondence dept tat they will look into my complaint

the morale of the story here is tat

Go and complain if you are not statisfy wif any service provider

Fair Usage Policy should be banned

i'm lazy to argue wif celcom ppl *cough* *cough*. but i'm sure lots of users here share the same sentiments. well wif few exceptions.

btw i do international transactions for my personal shopping. n no offence it didnt go smoothly when using celcom. n i considering the move to other isp, doing some research.

n ppl, SKMM is doing a survey in wireless broadband from 15 Jan 2009. for 2 months. anyone gotten their call?

It is actually practiced by most ISPs in other countries and it does work for them. Here in Malaysia, although there is a Fair Usage Policy but the connection is still pretty bad.

So far i have no problem dealing on behalf my wife Celcom BB. All the time I'm dealing straight with them...

Gosh... I just found out when doing some research that DiGi 3G has fair usage quota of 50GB... Wasnt it just 10GB like a week ago??? 50GB is way much more than I need. All i can say i am impressed DiGi took such a drastic move to win over customers. And wad wif Maxis 3G has no contract? Last time i checked it came with contract. Not bad...

N from wad i found, Maxis apparently does NOT implement fair usage policy of 3GB. Read ppl reviews from blogs and here. Dunno whether it is true. Will have to do some more research. After all, there is Maxis in my area. Hopefully it is beta than sialcom. But the thing that scares me off now is RM200 handling fee from Maxis if i terminate the service within 2 years. So must find and read more ppl reviews.

As for sialcom, dun think they do wanna upgrade. Love how DiGi stirs ppl, man. 50GB... 10x sialcom and way way much more than my current monthly usage. But dunno when is the official launch and when it will come to my area.

So does that mean early subscribers get to enjoy 7.2Mbps? Or does it mean that there will be 2 package at the official launch. One with 3.6Mbps but no contract and another with 7.2Mbps with 12 month contract? Intriguing...

Suddenly Celcom in my area is down.
Keep getting this error:



Now using the slow hostel LAN connection.

If DiGi can keep up with the performance and maintain it then we will be seeing many people on DiGi Broadband since the quota is at 50GB and from what the current users are experiencing now, it is really fast.

im using the rm68 celcom broadband.... i was wondering is there a limit to the data i downloaded each month? cause this few days the connection is horriblely slow.. I cant surf certain website at all ..and my MSN keep disconnect continuously

There is a Fair Usage Policy in which if you exceed more than 5GB of data transfer be it download or upload, you will be capped at 64kbps in your case since you are on the D68 plan.

so 5GB is the limit..? adoi... is there a way to check how many hv we used each month? Does sending msg in MSN oso include in the data?

try not to exaggerated...do ur researh for bold statement up there..or else u'll sending out a 'false alarm'
