its better to know the APN and dial number as well, when needed to setup by yourself
*
Yes, it is better. Guess what last month when I was on my way to Genting and my friends asked me to surf the Internet to look for information from my netbook, I totally forgotten that I haven't installed the modem dialer at my netbook. Once installed, I forgot about the APN for DiGi EDGE. doh.gif Finally, had to call the careline to ask for it. laugh.gif
Anyway, it is always better to know. smile.gif

It might be only you that think it is suck but not for others.
Just like you think Maxis is superior, but not in others' opinion.

I won't hesitate to request for warning shall I see such post again in this thread or other threads.

Hey all,
I have been subscribing Digi broadband for almost one month already
The thing is that I've used just 200Mb of bandwidth this month.
Will my bandwidth allowance be carried forward to the next month?
*
No, it won't be brought to next month.

Hi all,

I have 1 question about the modem that provided by Digi. Currently I am subscribing to Explore Package with Free Modem Model E219.

I found out that when i plug in to my PC, after my modem connected to Digi broadband, the network icon show 7.2Mbps. Meaning that when I subscribe to Extreme package (download 2Mbps), I still can use my current package? because my modem can support up to 7.2Mbps? Please advice ! Thanks.
*
Yes. smile.gif

Anyway, went to Midvalley's DiGi Specialised Store last night to help my friend register Discover package. biggrin.gif
It was activated less than 2 hours and speed was good! She is staying in PJ SS17 and tried at my place in SS2. Very constant and no problem in watching Youtube. She is so happy because I recommended to her DiGi BB, because of this I will be treated for supper next time. laugh.gif tongue.gif
My point is, I witnessed it myself and DiGi BB definitely impresses me.

For now, I have tried every single wireless broadband in Malaysia except for P1 which I should pay a visit to my friend's place to check out her P1, I will give DiGi BB the best wireless broadband I have seen in Malaysia. biggrin.gif
I'm proud to be a DiGi fan. biggrin.gif

When are you gonna register? smile.gif

Yes, two weeks already. biggrin.gif
laugh.gif Not until it reaches PD or increases its monthly quota. tongue.gif

Oopsie. Like I said, I hope you weren't offended.  blush.gif  As a local, I've no idea why our government would want to name the same road with two names, or housing areas in similar sounding names like the ones above.

Have a nice day  biggrin.gif
Thanks for your reply Raki. My PC is 24/7 on.  And yes, that includes my internet. So, my guess is I'd burn that 20GB in a week.

Now for the ultimate question, since I don't get charged on the Extreme package once I hit the 20GB cap, what's the speed like after the cap? A guy did reply saying it's 128kb...but that's like...12.8kbps, unless he meant 1.2 Mbps.  icon_question.gif

Sorry for the many questions. I'm just sick and tired of Screamyx and I finally have the time to do something about it.

Please do give me more feedback, especially ppl who play alot of games
*
No, I'm not. smile.gif

It is 128kbps and not 12.8kbps or 1.2Mbps. smile.gif

Unlocked? How do I check?
*
I checked back your previous posts and they show you are using this model right? http://www-my.linksys.com/servlet/Satellit...d=4718485430B01

I have glanced through and I didn't see it is for wireless broadband. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I didn't see any UMTS or HSDPA mentioned for this model.

To check if your modem is unlocked to all telcos, you can manual search for the available networks and if it appears to have other telcos being searched, then yours is already unlocked.

fruitie >> I can't load the link, but I assume you got the right model WAG200G.

You are correct, mine just a normal modem/router. Looks like I have to get the modem then =)

Thanks
*
Is it? It has no problem loading on my side.

Normal modem and router is not compatible for wireless broadband. You must get those compatible with wireless broadband services, for current technology, it is HSDPA. smile.gif

very hard loading with screwmyx but fine loading it with digibb for me... (high speed low drag)hehe biggrin.gif
like fruitie say, our normal router and modem does not have the ability to connect to 3g network(HSDPA,HSUPA etc). u need to either buy ur own or go with digi's.

I'm using Streamyx now. tongue.gif

The answer is no... if it's < 7days, then probably can but since it's over 2 weeks...
*
Even it is less 7 than days, it is not possible as well.
Unless you are within the coverage but do not get the promised speed. Else, it is not refundable.

I didn't know this was inside Digi's Fair Usage policy =(

5.2.3  The system that is used to provide the Broadband by DiGi service service can identify very high bandwidth users and DiGi seeks to manage the customer's usage by throttling their bandwidth to a much lower broadband speed to ensure fairness to all customers.

I wonder if VPN bypasses this throttling. Or even if Digi does practice this?
*
I don't think VPN will bypass the throttling, still a certain amount of information will be transferred and this is counted. hmm.gif

Yup, tested it and guaranteed it won't work XD
diginet is only meant for data unlimited cards, if use it with 3.5g, can't detect anything but once tested it with DiGi's 3.5G APN, it works
*
Well, I have changed the APN to DiGi's 3.5G APN but still it doesn't work. sad.gif
