QUOTE(NicolasLau @ Jul 23 2009, 01:44 PM) u mobile also have limited download some time u will feel their line very so the mean on that month out of limited use. like maxis max is 3gb now after 3gb line dam slow than digi edge cos my home using maxis bb package. digi wont planning do video call cos do u feel how many ppl at maalaysia will use video call??? below 10% malaysia ppl will use Again please stop your assumption.I am an Ambassador user of DiGi, surely somehow I have relation to DiGi, the insider news is not as you said. Video call will be rolled out, some said end of this year, some said some other time. I'm not that sure of the exact period for its roll out. They are focusing on broadband at the moment, video call will come out later. |

QUOTE(NicolasLau @ Jul 23 2009, 02:07 PM) Ambassador user is never big, but in order to get Ambassador plan, your friends or relatives must be working as permanent employees for DiGi. So, get my point now? Oh ya, maybe you can consider to use "comma" in your future posts, frankly speaking it is difficult to read your posts. Well, for now put aside your English grammar matter, just punctuation will do ya? This post has been edited by fruitie: Jul 23 2009, 02:21 PM |

QUOTE(tgrrr @ Jul 23 2009, 02:22 PM) It's mentioned in the Star Online during the launch of DiGi BB that 3G data with voice package may be rollout later this year or next year. 3G video call is the term. And I think the term "video call" is misleading, as if all we'd be using it is for video calls only. |

QUOTE(fluotone @ Jul 24 2009, 09:47 AM) anyone here used other mobile broadband service? I'm interested to know how it fairs against Digi. I have tested Celcom, U-Mobile, Maxis and DiGi broadband before this. I'm currently using DiGi EDGE despite my area has coverage for DiGi broadband but the FUP makes me a little off. I.e. is it stable? frequent disconnections? constant speed through-output? 1) Celcom - The widest coverage, you can online anywhere. 2) U-Mobile - Download speed was quite OK to me but not the surfing part, quite a pain in ass when it comes to peak hours. 3) Maxis - I tried the one without FUP, everything was OK to me until I got frustrated because it disconnected very often. 4) DiGi - The best wireless broadband I have tried, DiGi gives as promised, speed good but again FUP turns me down. Finally, I'm sticking to DiGi EDGE, it has no FUP, slow but stable and I only pay RM 30/month because of DiGi Campus package. Just for your kind information, FUP means fair usage policy. Once it is breached, speed will be throttled. Anyhow, the above experience is my personal comment, it has no relation with others and no intention to condemn the related parties either directly or indirectly. |

QUOTE(SweetPuff @ Jul 24 2009, 12:25 PM) Fair Usage Policy has to be applied, I feel. Else a lot of people will use it to P2P non stop. And this will indirectly affect how many potential people digi is able to sign up, without affecting the connection speed. MCMC makes a rule that all wireless broadband providers need to imply FUP on their services. And without sufficient people signing up, digi can't make money lah. U-Mobile has 5GB too just that it isn't implied by U-Mobile yet. Maxis Wireless broadband has 3GB FUP but the one I tried has no FUP because it isn't called as "wireless broadband"; it is known as Maxis Unlimited, previously known as Internet2Go. |

QUOTE(davidmak @ Jul 26 2009, 09:39 PM) Just came back from Maybank's TreatsFair at Midvalley Convention Center. And I subscribed another Digi Broadband account It was RM 78 and not RM 68.Another amazing thing is they call me back few hours later that I have won a Samsung C100 <-- old model. Any Digi staff can confirm? The roadshow this weekend is operated by Dynacom. Anyway, I was in that fair too and was contemplating about RM 88 Explore plan but too bad I withdrew my intention. Though I know the area I'm here now has very strong DiGi broadband coverage. I'll see how if I'll eventually end up in this community. This post has been edited by fruitie: Jul 27 2009, 09:55 AM |

QUOTE(davidmak @ Jul 27 2009, 10:16 AM) Really RM78? Geesh, I must have saw it by error. So fruities, aren't you using Digi Broadband already? By the way, I've chatted with the representatives present yesterday. They told me a lot of people took the opportunity to cancel their subscription and then re-apply. It is especially easy and clear cut for users who subscribe without any modem earlier. So guys, if this is you take this opportunity to save some money. Yes, RM 78. Anyway, it is RM 88 for one year with free modem. For subscribers who got the modem (either free or by installment), the arrangements worked out would be to sacrifice the modem or pay for the modem upon termination and then subscribe again. Not sure how this goes but it seems fishy to me. Well, I'm not a subscriber just that I have the opportunity to test out. I have tested all wireless broadband services and so far DiGi is the best. Will test out AMAX WiMax soon. |

QUOTE(davidmak @ Jul 27 2009, 02:00 PM) Yeah Digi seems to be the best. But lately, its speed isn't consistent anymore. Probably my area is getting congested. 2 months ago, things were really a breeze. I believe DiGi will do something to counter congestion problem. If it isn't, then it will be in a big trouble because congestion is the main issue for other providers. Additionally, the most concerned issue by the subscribers. |

You are making our life difficult by reading to your posts.Secondly, allow me to correct you, it is "lag" and not "leg". Spoil DiGi? OK I got what you mean. Well, everyone is open to comment DiGi, they need these constructive comments and criticisms to improvise their service. Obviously only people like you who want to listen to only good compliments. Come on, wake up and face the world. Everything has flaws and nothing is perfect. Do you expect DiGi spent on this board to listen to compliments only? For God's sake. There is a saying - Look before you leap. Anyway, in this context it means think wisely before you talk. |

QUOTE(ks98 @ Jul 29 2009, 10:04 AM) May I know the original objective for Digi to sponsor this forum? I think we need to make this clear so that ppl wouldn't mis-use the forum. Normally, ppl tend to get mad when they're frustrated with their broadband and will just complaint till up side down, probably, they expect someone to answer the complaint... if nothing happen after many times of complaint, then ppl will say anything that they can think of... Of course its main objective is to allow a maximum exposure about DiGi broadband to the forummers here, after all LYN is Malaysia's No. 1 tech based forum. So, if the objective is clear than we can just simply route the person to correct channel, rather than keep on doing something unproductive... wondering if somebody else also have similar issue... Since they sponsor a board here, they expect compliment and criticism from the users. It is definitely a channel to voice out our opinion as well as to get the latest update about DiGi broadband. With regards of freedom of speech but any rude or flame bait statements posters will be punished accordance with LYN's R&R. |

QUOTE(davidmak @ Jul 31 2009, 10:57 AM) Ooh ya! I forgot to check that as well. Thanks for notifying. So meaning to say it is capped earlier? After 10GB it will be capped but without extra usage. The usual RM108 can still go another 5-6GB at additional charge on top of RM108 until it hits RM138 and then speed is capped. If I'm not mistaken it works such way for this kind of promotion. With regards to the router, I hope Digi can come out with this solution (from Huawei of course). That is a HSDPA modem with WIFI capabilities complete battery support (5 hours at least). Then we have a real 'networker' wherever we go. They have it in the US and its called a MIFI or something... |

QUOTE(sanderz @ Aug 9 2009, 10:37 AM) i m using DiGi Discover Package. Download speed only average 20Kbps, with a montly fee of RM58? my friend use the WiMAX lite Package download speed can upto 60Kbps with a montly fee of RM49... i think i choose WiMAX will be more worth than using DiGi broadband. but DiGi broadband also got the advantage lah... eg: its easy to carry around. I believe you were getting only EDGE speed at your area and not HSDPA or UMTS? |
