i just bought a new set of mote and nunchuck...here's the story:
i went over to mid valley's nintendo shop...and enquired on it... they bundle the mote with wii-play and have a price of rm 239 on it...as for the nunchuck, it's priced at rm 99...i was like...omg...rm340 for that whole thing... well, anyway, i enquired on the nunchuck and wii-mote at another game shop in mid valley, and they selling those in a set for rm250...honestly, it looks original, the mote with the nintendo official seal and the nunchuck with the triwing screws...so, yea, a discount of rm90...XD |

Don't understand why the Wiimote got a Sirim sticker on it, of all the place why the Wiimote? why not on the console itself? It made feels like my Wiimote ain't virgin when the first time I got it because some guy at Sirim tested it before me

Guys, this is a thread to determine if the Wii Remote + Nunchuk purchased locally is fake or real and i was asking for pictures to compare
Not a thread to tell us where and how much you bought your remote for. Any hows you guys should check out the pictures and compare your remotes to see if it is real or fake. 3600mAh battery pack should have lasted forever! you'd want to check if the Remote is ori =P |

I notice that the Fake wiimote has different FCC ID and IC# compared to ori Taiwan wiimote. The ori Taiwan wiimote has the exact same markings as my ori US wiimote.
Also, from photos provided by JasonSky, the fake has FCC ID and IC# of the Japan wiimote, while the Korean unit not supposed to have FCC ID and IC# at all. To say that it is a Korean unit then have Japan markings doesn't make sense. Also, I'm not surprised that the fake isn't branded as Wü instead of Wii. Seems that most fakes are made by that company. Updated Main Post. Took my remote apart and compared the insides.
A world of difference. Printing is relatively Cheap, so no surprise they print Wii instead of Wuu, can sell for higher price. |

I recently came across a fake remote too. And it's supposed to be a US wiimote. This didn't come from Nintendo but from one of the reputable suppliers. Even they were fooled!
Basically, try to get your wiimote changed if you get a fake. Force your retailer to do so because they should be able to get their supplier to swap it for an ori set. MAKE SURE you keep your box and receipt for the exchange! |

I Agree, if its a fake, DEMAND that they refund or replace because if they dont you can go to the Tribunal for consumer affairs and lodge a report =)
That'll shake them a bit. |
