ok, first of all thank you for this through fake identifying guide and all the pictures.

mostly interesting, I think they have developed NEW fake models.

there are some changes, particularly you may change the volume now. and I didn't felt odd IR sensitivity. so the functionality has improved, but it still is a total fake when it does come down to quality.

there are still some points left

1. Gold connector (nunchuck connector) is shiny on the fake, mate on the original.

2. (still) LED's on the original are Matte, the Fake is Clear. And when it lights up you can see the difference, it hurts eye in the dark.

3. (still) Home Button - Original shows to be lighter colored. (some what all the buttons on the fake seem to darker.)

4. (still) Battery compartment SPONGE is missing on the FAKE model.

5. + - buttons are way stiff.

but what made me sure that this one is fake, is the fact that I unscrewed the nunchuck sold along with it, and when you are inside, there will be no lies: The build quality is abysmal and choppy, the board is different, there is an extra capacitor and ...

my only advice is that, always take your ori wiimote when going shoping, and never buy something that hasn't a PERFECT build quality as a Nintendo ori, or Sony ori. search for things like choppy plastics, rough metal parts, shiny cables and plastics and things like that.

the most disgusting part is that they counterfeit these craps as originals. I wouldn't mind if the shop told me that it is a fake, but this? screw them.

Beware, wii classic controller as well as Wii Fit also have fake model.

btw, came across rm199 wii fit, obviously fakes, but the salelalaboy said its not fake, its "compatible"

I guess if u see clearly those are written as "Wu" instead of "Wii"
Doesnt know the difference of it but i wont advise to get Non Original Accessories.

Oh btw , the Ori ones are quite cheap nowdays compared to last year.

I got this Wiimote. After using a while, there is something loose inside. I checked all the pictures above and I don't see anything similar on the fake and my "loose" wiimote.

What do the Wii-community here thinks?

my sis just bought a set of wii, she bought another set of controller, which the seller said is original.

from the pictures , i think she bought a "fake controller" .

the seller did mention the original set of controllers is different from the one we bought separately. but y different since he said is "original"?

should we go change the "fake controller"? how should we ask him to change to a original set controller?

btw.. the " fake " is making loud noises. like....bad radio reception. annoying.

The cable. There should be fine (But can be seen, just that it's lightly colored) printing along the cable. That and the connector has a tri-wing screws.

i bought my fake nunchuk + wiimote for rm80 from some guy at lelong.com.my (i didnt know fake one exist at that time), the remote only usable for one day, no longer responsive after playing wii sport boxing. and the nunchuk getting loose after a week or so.

funny, the packaging looks ori enough to me. if only i knew the fake wiimote using philips type of screw instead of tri one.

btw anyone come across nyko wand product? i want to buy the wand+.

yea, the review is quite good, and i think the price of wand+ would be cheaper than ori wiimote + motion plus

I bought a two sets of wiimote, nunchuck and motion plus from ebay (HK based sellers) and they come with the sleeves. I was half expecting them to be fakes because the prices were really really cheap.

There are certainly physical differences when compared to my original US and Korean sets (the HK ones have different printing quality, generally looser B buttons and battery covers)- but what do you know, they actually work like the real thing. In fact I am having more issues with my US controller which keeps getting wrong movement responses.
