Asked from SE service center already. First batch of W995 has rigid slider (They let me see their set, owned by the employee). Second batch of W995 has loose top slider when opened.

They offer free tightening for me tomorrow when the technician comes for free. Mine is AP set...

so do u still think its good to buy ??? ap set

It is not related to AP or ori, even ori set, as claimed by the SE concept store, also faces loose slider problem. So no worries.

what u guys comment on d wifi function?

it seems like not much option for surfing with wifi because when lost connection on wifi, it will auto switch to 3g.. any idea to prevent this?

i still no idea for the setting. it seems like must have a 3g setting there. wifi is conside as -> local connection?

Never happened to me as I've never lost connection yet so far but...

Things you can consider:

1. Connect to Wifi in Flight Mode. 100% confirm no switching to 3G
2. Delete your 3G profile in Internet Settings
3. Switch to "GSM Only" at Mobile Networks. GPRS data is slow so it would not incur too much cost if it automatically switches to data from wifi by the time you realize it.

There may be other ways I don't know of, but these are my suggestions for now

Create a fake data account and assign it to the application you wish to use

Wonder if this has been discussed before. As I'm not familiar with phone flashing or this topic, sorry if it's a repeat question.

Current my W995 is from Riyadh. So it has a lot of languages from the mid-east regions and stuff. Is there a way to flash it back to the AP region, while retaining the flash themes and enabling the inputs for chinese text? (With just pinyin is sufficient)

Not even a year of using this phone and all the wordings (SE, 8.1MP that are printed on the phone) are gone, even the orange walkman logo fell off.

Every now and then I check the wordings .. hopefully they won't peel off...

If your W995 stickers are peeling off, please get a nice casing to put it in when you carry it around. I owned a W995 for half a year and everything was almost perfect when I sold it.

just bought the red w995 yesterday at rm985. some shop eve sell it for rm950. thanks to the very high resolution picture, at lower size the picture will be very sharp and crisp but totally unacceptable (for me) if viewing it in 1:1 size. well its not like that i have a monitor with 3000pixel. so the picture will be fine as long as you are viewing it in appropriate size.

Very few mobile photos with 5mp and above looks pretty at 1:1, even more so without adequate lighting. W995 looks good at 1:1 only for macro shots. Try taking photos with your W995 of other scenes at 2mp resolution, you'll see 1:1 looks good That's why the megapixel race is a waste of time with tiny cam phone sensors

agree with d_protector, what casing you guys are using? when using flash, the picture will have a glare. really spolied the picture..

where area you buy?
