Not really indicator problem. Previous 3-4 bars, still can last me 0.5-1 day. Or I can even online for 20-30 minutes before low batt comes out. Now immediate come out.

QUOTE(-Teddy- @ May 14 2009, 06:40 PM) Meaning the actual battery life is only 1-2 bars, but it's displayed as 3-4bars? No? Not really true. The battery still has 3-4 bars when polled. However, the battery has degraded that it can't provide continuous high discharge to power the task, hence immediate drop in remaining estimation to 1-2 bars. In worse case scenario, immediate shutdown.I wonder how is the battery life measured. Is it by percentage or the amount of mAh left? If it's percentage, then it might not be the indicator's fault, since it might be the overall battery capacity that's declining? If I remember correctly, it is calculated based on voltage remaining. e.g. a 3.7V Li-Ion battery is fully charged at 3.70V. It is fully discharged (0%) when it reaches 3.40V (just example only). How to determine 50% ? Maybe around 3.58V, as the line graph is not straight line, but rather a curve line. The battery discharge very slow from 3.70V -> 3.58V. But once reach 3.60 Volt or lower, it discharges very fast. Ampere = Watt / Volt i.e. If an app need X milli-Watt (constant like 3G data), and voltage goes down, it will draw more Amps (milliAmp) from the battery, hence the reason why you feel full bar last longer, but when it drops, it drops very fast. A way to overcome this is more sensitive components to detect the voltage and also the calculations in a curve line rather than straight line basis. Just my 2 cents, I may recall wrongly the concept of it. QUOTE(IwanAGP @ May 15 2009, 11:00 AM) Er... not that problem. I using memory card 256MB from old handphone. No such problem exist. I bought new AP set for RM1060. Price increased RM 10 compare to last week and the "Tauke" said the price increase due to H1N1 coz all the phone taken in from SG. Maybe the security check or custom check become more strict. It may be the physical memory-card gap/notch itself problem. Cannot get into the clip properly.I called that shop and asked. That guy ask me backup all the files then format the memory card. |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ May 18 2009, 10:38 AM) Swt... Who can explain to me WHY after 1 1/2 hours i plug in my n82 to PC through USB, the battery drain from 6 bars to 3 bars... And... Malfree maps got what features? Can anyone explain to me? I dun think i will keep on using GPS. Just in case if i get lost at KL(i'm from bintulu, will get to KL this saturday) or want to find the way to a place only i need it. Malfreemaps can do that? When N82 is plug into PC USB, every now and then, there is ping/sync between the two device, to ensure both are still alive. That will drain the battery quite fast like what you encounter.Read post #815 on MFM Yes, it can guide. You need the engine + map. Most of us are using GMXT + MFM/MSM |

I think there is a number of limited words for custom words and/or memory limitation. The least used will be overwritten by newer ones.

IwanAGP,
GPS signal is covered globally. Signal strength should be similiar. Are you inside building ? or under trees / shelter ? Try goto open field. For barcode, google create QR Barcode |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ May 20 2009, 01:53 PM) Is F-secure free?? Er... I'm in my house. But the signal shdn't be one bar rite? I got only one bar. It's nothing fun for me because i just stay at home now. I'm not going anyway so i got no use with it. Maybe when i go KL it will guide me to my U. hehe. Another thing is... Bintulu map not fully loaded and not very accurate so nothing fun with that. Lolz Bintulu map, I think use MFM is more detail, although maybe not as detail as you want it. |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ May 21 2009, 02:19 PM) Lolz Yes, I've repeated many times. The easiest way is:U said hide it and make me think of something! Can i... Use PC to make them as hidden file?? Coz i know nokia won't show out hidden file rite?? 1) Use PC plug in memory card 2) Search for all sub-folders inside Garmin which has _pAlbtn folder 3) Find out inside the _pAlbtn what filenames are the images. 4) Make all the filenames hidden (outside _pAlbtn) 5) Delete _pAlbtn and all sub-folders inside |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ May 22 2009, 08:32 AM) @cute_boboi e.g. Inside E:\Garmin\Apps\Symbian\BIN\S60_TTF\_PAlbTNI'm just n82 user for one week(bought it last thursday). I nvr hear about the thing u said. So what u repeating is 1st time for me... What u mean is look for the folder and see what's inside the folder. Then locate out all the files in Garmin folder and hidden all of them. After that, delete the _pAlbtn folder? there are 3 sub-folders with these names 170x128 320x320 56x42 Just pick any of it, you will see the filenames inside it, e.g. Animation_170x128.MBM SPLASH_170x128.MBM This will tell you the filename, go back to the root of _PAlbTN, i.e. E:\Garmin\Apps\Symbian\BIN\S60_TTF\ and you should be able to see this two files: Animation.MBM SPLASH.MBM Make this two files hidden. Then delete the _PAlbTN including all the sub-folders and files. If you take sometime to look in _PAlbTN, you will notice it is actually the different thumbnail for gallery in portrait, landscape preview. You need to manually scroll and search through each and every sub-folder inside E:\Garmin It not only includes images such as JPG/BMP, but others such as MBM, fonts, etc. Note: TS please pin it up or something. Thanks. |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ May 22 2009, 10:21 AM) Er....i tried.... But under Garmin\Apps\Symbian i dun have BIN folder. I only got Prv and Res folder. Inside them are just text file. No image file at all... I use search on windows explorer and i only found one _PAlbTN folder. In that i saw 3 folders 56x42 170x128 and 320x320. All contain BMP_56x42/170x128/320x320 files. Each of them got 16 items, all file name started with D_quehelp_... Eg: D_quehelp.bmp_320x320 D_quehelp_bt_searching.bmp_320x320 ... Some of the thing looks like different from what u said so i dunno how to continue it... Help still needed. @li-ion65 Those softwares easy to find one... Mr. Google the best. I dunno my garmin version but i think it's 5.XX. I dl directly from garmin. Should be newest version. What's the version?? I dunno? Lolz |
