If you buy 4GB or more at SanDisk booth, got lucky draw.

1) BT or SMS the contacts over. Unlikely to be 100% compatible.
2) No choice, sync into Outlook address book and sync to N82

I also have this situation. SMS Messaging is using Phone Memory (default). No idea. So now, I take out micro-SDHC and plug into USB card reader. Yes, I know is troublesome and may break N82 cover.

Tried reboot and plug in also cannot. I think some auto-load app installed on my memory card.

Have you tried to follow procedure:
1) Take out N82 battery
2) Plug in charger into N82
3) Plug in USB cable into PC
4) Open NSU
5) Switch on N82
6) It should be able to auto-detect and continue firmware upgrade, unless your N82 is really kong

A bit too late to advise now, when NSU is downloading, you can play around PC. But when NSU start to update, close all apps and don't press anything. Just leave it there and move the mouse (no need click) every few minutes to prevent screensaver/sleep.

Best is to use notebook PC as it has battery. Otherwise, PC with UPS (not AVR) also good enough. Also ensure N82 is fully charged.

Then, you won't be able to fit the back cover. Also the battery will bulge out, cause need to use double the amount of cell-batteries. Weight is heavier also. You may also want to think about the quality of material/metal used. Although stated 2000mAh, it may only last 1.5x more. After 12 months, the battery may degrade faster than original

Not anti lah. Just the pros and cons. Also the risks (explode/burn) involved. Also, the proper expectation on AP and authorised products.

Yes, there is Hokkien, Hakka, Cantonese, etc. add-on shared by a forumer here before.

Formatting the memory card only clears the memory card. Your app may still partially in phone memory, and the icons and system files too.

This is as good as asking is it a good time to buy C2Quad processor now ? or wait till C2Hex, C2OCT, C4Quad, etc.

If you think it is a phone which suits you, and the reason to buy is high enough for you, just buy it.

Authorised set from Zitron also does not come with car-charger. It's an optional accessories. Goto Nokia website if you want to see a full N82 package.

For picture comparison purpose, I suggest to take a photo without flash and another one with flash. That will show the true light brightness/darkness and the power or xenon flash in N82.

It may be the Phone Memory [C:\] or the RAM [D:\] is full. When you reboot the phone, the RAM is cleared and start from fresh again. Something like WinXP memory leak issues.

By the time drop sky low, already obsolete and no more support Newer and better model phones come out, and you will say the same again on the newer model.

No. I feel V5 is louder than V4. I think my volumen is 60 or 80 only.

Change and try other headphones ? Different headphones give different (micro) amplifier result.

Are you using the HS-43 or Nokia headset ? The voice command will pop out if you accidentally press+hold the button on the headset.

Confirm AP unit. Very rare you can get AP that match the box.

crack, pirate, ahem, cough, , etc. are all sensitive words. Please avoid/refrain from using it.

Anyway, back to N82. Fully charge before go there. Went for a walking loop 3.8km (start count from the guardhouse). About 40 min. Use for the rest of the day. My estimate is GPS using Nokia Sports Tracker takes up about 40% battery for 40min usage.

Will try export it and view with Google Earth.

First of all, identify your needs. Do you prefer:
1) Camera with xenon or not ?
2) Music player or not ?
3) Touch screen ?
4) etc.

N82 is like a workhorse for me. Today online 3.5G for >12 hrs. >100MB on work purpose, downloading patch. I seldom use for music player.

1) Just for fun
2) Test whether can lock with A-GPS or not
3) Test on ground and 1st floor
4) Too much credit, have to utilise it

If you don't need it, don't buy it yet. Your RM80 may be able to buy 16GB later when the price drop and you really need it then.

On the dust, laminate/skin wrap the keypads.

1. Move all Inbox and Outbox SMS into respective folders in My Folders. Will take up a lot of phone memory, so I suggest to change setting to store in memory card.

2. You need to manually assign each file to playlist/folder in N82. Very troublesome.

Both is not proper solution, N82 sucks.

3. N82 has a lot of missing things other than SMS counter. The GPRS data counter on time online and grand total time are not there as well. Only log the previous online time.
