it doesn't really spread even after 2 months, just grew slightly taller.

and somehow it's not strongly attached to the soil, i can just take it out without any strength.

bad news, only way is to remove them by hand and has to do it quickly or else it will outgrown and you will lost control over it.

Mine lost controlled after a year pulling out grass whenever i have time..Recently we are away for a long vacation and came back no eye see!...just live with it and imagine their are all the same. all green

been pulling weeds daily!too much weeds...
my gardener says it is like that for first few months till the grass is mature.Is it true?hopefully

You guys have snake issue after planting grass?

some development nearby? When people clearing land for project they/we actually invading the animal homes. No home to go destroy by human so invading your home till you found them and kill them or they die of starvation no food to eat.

One other possibility is someone rear snake as hobby and then decided to let them go to the bushes near your home thinking it will survive in the "wild" but the domesticated snakes find it hard everywhere it goes and ended up at your home. Then of course the human race we always kill as long as it present some threat.

i need help with my grass.

at the beginning, they were growing fine, but now, the growth of the grass is not expanding anymore, and they are slowly dying/turning yellowish.

anyone can help? it's just normal grass.

I would like to know whether the way I plant the indoor plant (in picture) is correct? do i need to move the plant and soil out of the black plastic and put it directly inside the pot?

greetings everyone, i have some problem

i have phillipine carpet grass around the yard of my house. it needs trimming every 2-3 weeks. I trim the grass with Black and Decker GL300 trimming tool. But i found that the machine can be used in short intervals, about 15-20 minutes, and mine was emitting smoke and the motor is too hot, and sort of slowed down (limp mode? i think)

is this normal? is the machine damaged somehow? what tools do you use to trim the grass?

another question, how to prevent excessive weed growth on the carpet grass? any suitable methods for my phillipines carpet grass?

I am looking for cow grass. the nursery around my area is quotating me RM2.50 for 2sqft. excludes planting. is that price ok?

I have indoor garden. minimal sunlight, or i think no direct sunlight shining.
soil is about 1 feet deep. What type of plant is good, looks healthy can absorb moisture and humidity?

I just got some landscaping work done. nearly 10k

But i think the price i paid was ok cause i compared it against 4 other contractors. I found this guy on www.kaodim.com New website i read about them on therakyatpost. Their response time is really quick and they got me 5 quotes in total i think. All free. I compared and ended up with the guy i was telling you about.

My ongoing landscaping project. Planted 1 week ago with Taiwan grass. I will use Pearl grass at the side of the house. Boundary shall be concrete that is flush with the grass level.

I'm getting conflicting remarks from people. Some tell me plant closer some tell me give gap 3"..some tell me give gap 6". Those who tell me to increase spacing is because can save on grass and not let the grass overlap each other when they grow thus causing bumps or uneven growth. What the hell...i just plant lah...the grass knows how to grow.

That depend how much you want to save the money and how fast you want the grass grow. The bigger the gap, the slower the grass grow fully. As it need time to craw and fill up. Just like that.

Last time cost rm7 for a 1'x1' patch grass. To save, I cut it 100mmx100mm and gap it at about 6". It take about 7mth to fully fill up the gap and grown nice. Need fertilizer to speed it up.

Quite a bit....semi-d house compound. Check what? How much gap? Nursery will tell 'up to you'.

hehe, any got solution for dog urine burning the grass? watering the grass is useful if you know where they pee. sigh...my philippine grass so ugly with patches of yellow.

Hi All

I've some issue with my pearl grass and need to find solution to it.  I've planted some pearl grass (sod) bought from Sg Buloh nursery at my small backyard of my house shifted last June (its intermediate unit).  I tried to have as much greens as possible didn't want to cement my backyard.

There are spot of brownish colour and some like dying but I am not too sure what is the reason for it? too much water (flooding but the water can go away quiet okay even if during heavy rain pour) or the soil too dried (not enough watering)  I am using black soils for pearl grass and this is the 2nd time that I planted it in the same place except that I add in some "walking stone" so that I can care of my other plants (rosemary which also like brownish at the bottom but green for new leaf, and some mints as well).

My backyard dont really get much of sunlight or is pearl grass not suitable for my backyard? Do I need to water the grass everyday? twice a day?

I bought the same kind of grass from the same nursery ans was told its pearl grass ( as cow grass is a wider and fast grown out ? ) so you mean the greenish one is real grass ?

I am getting some professional to have a look on condition and advise me of what need to be done, at least to learn something new from professional.

Left: Pearl grass
Right: Cow grass

I think the top is Philipine grass, left is Pearl grass and the right is probably not a cow grass. The leaf abit thin and overall look abit fine.
