i'm still undecided either to get an UWA or get a Tammy 1750 as kit lens replacement.. last time im more towards 1750, but since i already have a flash, been thinking to get a Siggy 1020 as i can explore n learn other style of photography with an UWA.. kit lens already a good lens, and with a flash, i believe it can do wonders.. what say others??

If you want to explore something new, go for Siggy 10-20mm f4-5.6 HSM. You'll to play with UWA + a little fishy effect.

On the other hand, if you want to get a lens which is good for walkaround + good low light performer, go for Tammy 17-50mm f2.8. Also, with 17-50mm f2.8, you can cover events and weddings easier due to the big aperture.

ya, i know.. i love Tammy's f/2.8, but i also want to explore sthg new with an UWA.. maybe i'll decide after i get my 50mm f/1.4.. if i can 'live' with the 50mm range for low light events, then i'll just go for Siggy 1020, as Tammy also go up until that range.. wider range most of the time can just use kit lens with flash.. if i really need a wider range with f/2.8, then only i'll get the Tammy 1750..

Hello everyone,

Just got my Alpha 300 today, my very first DSLR.. been using PnS ever since..

I just wanna ask which lens is suitable for me as i prefer a good all rounder lens.. don't wanna change for different usage.. if i'm not mistaken, 18-250 is consider all rounder rite? not too sure about it.. which is the cheapest all rounder for me? hehe..

that's why he said fair price ma biggrin.gif

the cheapest would be around 1100. i would say 1140 is a fair price since before, some of us had to pay 12++ for it.
