QUOTE(ahtsong @ Feb 15 2009, 01:21 AM)
hi, anyone using the Tamron SP AF 10-24mm

found no review on this lens yet...did the sony version available now?

according to the review here, this lens seems soft or not sharp at all.

can anyone confirm this?

sony have a very limited UWA....the SAL 1118, tamron 1118 (similar to sony), minolta 1118 (hard to find) and sigma 10-20 only (dunno this got gear problem)
*
there is sigma 12-24mm as well. but it is FF lens, so its more expensive.

yes, but i think msia is a lot cheaper. bought mine for 110 euro. everything here is rather expensive. if you are coming here, better make early planning.. i mean in term of upgrade etc.

They quoted me RM1140 for F58... LOWEST PRICE !
*
that's why he said fair price ma biggrin.gif

the cheapest would be around 1100. i would say 1140 is a fair price since before, some of us had to pay 12++ for it.

vcxv: you used Minolta 50mm for those shot?
produce very nice color and sharpness
what are the setting used?
*
some of them minolta 50mm 1.7 and some sigma 10-20mm (cropped)
i'm a fan of vibrant color.. so i use vivid +1+2+3

some of them i did leveling and increase contrast

guys, this is OT thing.. im thinking of buying a multi-function printer.
main purpose print notes etc. other preferences..
fast
decent photo printing
duplex printing ( dont know if its available on the lower end printer)
cd printing (not sure on-cd print or lightscribe is better.. non--serious purpose)

so, im thinking of the likes of
1. canon ( mp190, 240, 260 up to 630)
2. epson (dx7450, sx400/5, sx600, bx300f, px700w)
3. others

suggestions/opinions are very welcome tongue.gif

some UWA cannot put filter on top 1... sweat.gif
the lens convex above the filter thread.. laugh.gif

usually this lens has built-in hood i.e sigma 12-24mm

*
so u dealt with the same person and its all well, rite?

so, maybe the stuffs really stuck at courier office. give him some time lor

@ jimlim - may i know what type of metering u used?

in my case, since i dont use cpl or nd, i try to avoid spot metering in similar situation. so, i either use center-weighted or multi segment
