Question: I know for a fact that I will watch this a second time nod.gif
Just that I'm planning to sit on those golden-class-chair-thingy that they have in cinemas.
Yes, this is my first time wanting to sit on those chairs, any advices? Like the ticket price, whether they have one in KLCC or not for this movie, etc.
Thanks guise notworthy.gif

=========================

Just read on GSC website: they have those Golden class seats. Worth it?
Does TGV have them too?
KLCC, 2:30pm, center-back icon_rolleyes.gif
Finished at 5:00pm -- worth the length, worth my money indeed! rclxm9.gif
This is better than Shutter Island rclxms.gif

i see. I saw it at Cineleisure. Yes, it really would be worth every single cent. thumbup.gif

itz possible but why didnt she just wake cobb up from the outside if she escaped all 2 levels. I find it pointless to keep on entering cobb's level 1 dream if she could give him a kick from the real world.

That's a good point.

QUOTE(tykenny @ Jul 18 2010, 12:04 AM)
In the dream between Mal and Cobb, they already live more than 50 years,as yuri's drug they had tested.. But both of them wouldn't wake up coz they sleep in a condition that no1 around to wake them up, in reality. So they continuesly sleep, in the first level they had wrong design of dream, they design base on real life map (that's Cobb always warn other architecturer DO NOT design the real city picture, coz it will make both them BELIEVE that they are not dreaming, and they won't woke up.)

But, Cobb realize that Mal keep something behind him and Mal won't wanna wake up, so Cobb decide to find out the totem. He and Mal enter the second level of dreaming( that I wouldn't not sure), some how find out the totem, the safety of Mal, then indirectly implan the concept, that they are actually in something not real,

"......follow the train, it will bring to somewhere, somewhere that we both dunno but we would like to go out....."

Mal was believed that the 1 level is reality that is not good, but dreaming is much better that will go there with Cobb by killing themselves by train in the level 1, why she believe Cobb, coz Cobb found her totem, the safety that kept by her.

After they both die, they woke up in the reality. But........
Mal was confused... In reality. She wanted to go the "dreaming" again, coz Cobb indirectly in plan " new thinking" into her wife's mind.( Cobb actually want Mal to kill herself in level 1 dream, lying done and get killed by train.by convience her that kill herself will lead her to "reality" )

So, the guiltiness of Cobb kept project his wife the out his mission, on the other hand to stop him.

And I would say, Cobb has failed his mission. His daughter already aged 11. And his wife, Mal dream land, the totem won't fall.......

Yup, Cobb and Mal did experience the stage of dream within the dream, cozCobb wanna find out wats  kept in her safety.

I agree about the inception part. Cobb knew that she was in trouble.

So he helped her by trying to tell her that the world they live in is a dream. Dying will take them into the real world.

This idea was the inception that stuck in her mind. In the dream world it was necessary to get her back from dream world into reality. But unfortunately, in the real world, the idea infested her mind and she became obsessed that the real world is fake, and that she needs to die in order to go to the dream world which she thinks is real.

This is why Cobb feels so guilty about Mal dying that she infests his dreams and tries to hurt/foil him. He thinks he is responsible for her death

That's why Cobb keeps saying that ideas are a resilient parasite and how it can stick around infest and grow into all sorts of unimaginable consequences in the human mind.

Just watched it!

Reaction: omg...wth! (runs for the door...)

No. I didn't do that. This is amazing. Loved the movie.

The Movie Itself:
It feels like a work of art - - everyone has their own take on an art piece. One viewing will not be enough to fully appreciate the art. Perhaps multiple viewings. This...this is art in the form of a movie. And mind you, not everyone will be into art but at least they will appreciate its form. I did. But my first viewing felt like just a 'run through'. Yes, 2 hours + felt like a run through, a "rough" idea of the art. Much reading and analysis is needed for me.

This movie has a ridiculously detailed plot. Chris Nolan delivered. And he stopped at nothing to get his thoughts in motion. It is as if someone said to him "Make a movie that has a plot so riddled with detail, one viewing is a joke." Chris Nolan did just that.

Forum sites are riddled with intricacies I am yet to be able to phatom...  sweat.gif

The questions on my mind at the moment still pretty basic but here goes:

Cobb and Mal were like pioneer explorers into the dream world. They got so addicted to the dream world that they went into multiple levels and even limbo. It came to the extent that they lived together for decades in their dreams till they grew old together. During this time, they also started mixing real memories into their dreams. This is where trouble started and the rest, well we saw in the movie.

I wish the plot could be simplified as in laid-out-in-full-understanding order. Read a few pages back about

I still cannot grasp the complexity but here goes:

Maybe.

I'll say this again. I highly doubt Cobb is dreaming because he uses the totem many times in the movie.

The only time there is any doubt is the ending where they don't show if the totem drops or not. Instead, it looks like it is beginning to wobble and drop, but then cuts off.

This was a good ending because it invites the viewers to draw their own conclusions about the ending.

This is my 1st movie that gives me the impression that I understand the movie but the details are all scattered around and the more you try to put them in order, it messes up with your understanding of the movie but if you let it be as it is, you will feel comfortable knowing that you understand the movie. However, it’s always the details that interest all of us. Nice work there, Christopher Nolan. Truly, this is an inception.

coz they didnt feel gravity in 2nd layer, so no effect in 3rd layer. but when the van is rolling, their bodies in 2nd layer should be rolling around but no effect in 3rd layer, strange wink.gif .

The final shot shows his totem, in mid-spin, beginning to wobble. The scene then cuts to black, leaving it up the viewer to decide if it's a dream or reality.

'Inception' Stars Weigh In On Sequel Potential At Hollywood Premiere
Leonardo DiCaprio, Cillian Murphy, Lucas Haas and Dileep Rao share their thoughts on the movie's last scene.

HOLLYWOOD — "Inception" is shaping up to be the moviegoing event of the summer. The sci-fi thriller written and directed by "The Dark Knight" maestro Christopher Nolan has dazzled critics and whipped expectant audiences into a frenzy before its release on Friday. But one aspect that has sparked heated debate is the particularly dubious last scene. On the red carpet of the film's L.A. premiere, MTV News asked the film's stars to weigh in on that compelling final moment — as well as whether an "Inception 2" is a possibility.

The film's leading man, Leonardo DiCaprio, deftly dodged revealing any particular stance on the issue. "I have my own specific take on that final scene," DiCaprio told MTV News, leaving his opinion out of the public debate, adding instead that he hopes the viewers make up their minds for themselves. "This is an interesting movie, because I really believe people can extract what they want from this film and interpret that in a lot of different ways. I think that's something that doesn't come from the Hollywood studio system very often nowadays. Oftentimes, I get scripts that came to me recycled from other ones. Chris [Nolan] pulled off something pretty ambitious, pretty existential, pretty cerebral and daring with this movie, and I jumped on the opportunity to do it and work with him."

Cillian Murphy wished to remain neutral about the last scene. "Oh, I wouldn't want to give an opinion on that," he said, and of the possibility of a sequel, he added, "I don't have the authority to speak on that."

Lucas Haas proved to be far more forthcoming. "My take? I think it's real," he said, which, despite its seemingly vague wording, is a definitive stance to the debate about that last scene. And is there room for a sequel? "Of course," Haas said. "I think definitely."

Dileep Rao offered further insight, advising viewers to pay attention to the scene in an unusual way. "You know what, I'll just say this: Use your ears not your eyes."

As far as a sequel goes, Rao deferred to Nolan. "That's up to Chris," he said. "If we're talking about dreams, couldn't anything happen?"

Pretty interesting to hear each actor/actress's interpretation of the ending biggrin.gif

Ok in the end scene the Totem is about to fall. U know why Nolan cuts to black?

BECAUSE HE WANTS VIEWERS TO EXPERIENCE INCEPTION FIRST HAND.

Just by cutting to the credits he incepted the idea of Cobb still dreaming into the viewers minds!! U know why the more u think the more you fell Cobb is still dreaming? Like the movie said "Idea is resilliant, it's like a parasite

There's a strong case with Mal being right all along and her death was her escape to reality. A lot of times in the film you see his subconscious creeping in and interfering with his world. And most of the time, he couldnt comprehend what he was seeing. He know it was his projection but he seems puzzled to what it really means. Remember Cobb said the mind has some sort of antibody that tries to end a dream. If we think about it, this kinda make sense. No dream is perfect, we always tend to have some sort of anti climax in our dreams - in one form or another. In the film, this antibody exists persistently through out Cobbs supposedly dream endeavors. His wife is constantly harassing him and tries to kill off the object of his dreams. He is almost always getting hunted down by armed men. The chase even persists in reality where this violent projections are replaced by supposedly real life corporate assassins. Violence seems to follow him every where he goes. Perhaps its because his subconscious is actively trying to tell him to snap out of his dream but he being a master architect of dreams is constantly evading this notion. Creating new plots and possibilities on the fly.

Then theres the totem. We all seem to rely on this object to define the truth at the end of the film. But how reliable is this object ? This was never Cobb's totem to begin with, so he can never be sure of its true properties. Nolan repeatedly show this object to fool us viewers like a magician who is constantly flicking his hands to distract the viewers. Cobbs believes that his totem will behave in certain ways depending on where he is but here's the thing - if you are constantly in a dream, you are constantly forging the totem properties and making it function the way you believe it is supposed to function. In any case, I really feel the totem isnt a reliable tool due to its history.

Having said this, the other alternatives are also possible. Which what makes this film utterly brilliant. You make your story as you pleases.
