"At 13mm thickness, the Sony Ericsson C901 Cyber-shot joins the rather large 5 megapixel gang that's already on the market. The cool thing about though is that it's got a xenon flash, face and smile detection, Smart Contrast, BestPic, geo-tagging, active lens cover and much more.
The new C901 Cyber-Shot features a 262K color QVGA TFT display and has 3G support, Bluetooth and USB connectivity. The other specs include FM radio, built-in accelerometer, M2 slot.
Sony Ericsson C901 Cyber-shot will be available in Noble Black, Sincere Silver and Precious Peach. It will be hit the shelves in Q2 this year, but at this point there is no information about pricing. "(Quote From GSMArena)

C901 is a third C series from Sony Ericsson (Previous model: C702,C902). C901 built in 5Megapixels Camera with Auto Focus, face and smile detection able to detect up to 3 person faces, 16 times digital zoom, photo editing, 9 continuous shot, image stabilizer.

Music Player of C901 slightly different from Walkman series. Walkman 3.0 animated interface couldn't found in this model. But still able to show album art, Equalizer with Mega Bass, TrackID, A2DP and support MP3/AAC file format.

With 3.5G connectivity, its allowed to transfer picture to personal BLOG, logon to Google Maps and Youtube.

I wonder how thick the capacitor is for the xenon, the k800i/k790a/i had a fairly thick capacitor on it and camera still had a slight hump

b/c they'll lose a huge chunk of the market in hk/china with the number 4 meaing death. now that you mention it probably why samsung chinese models are typically with 8 at the end

Though i am wondering why SE is slowly increasing the screen size of their phones by .2in every new model comes out, yet still lagging from nokias larger screens

on esato, looking at the pictures of the similar model the c903a for north america kept the video call camera...really odd b/c usa doesnt have it, but canada does. Wonder if the same will happen

So you will grab more handphone from SE

But then still depends, xenon flash will not allowed to manually turn on the flash and use as touch light.
Some of them still prefer the LED flash light

Anyway, I think the software part is very identical with C510, with the difference in Camera performance. I noticed in youtube, the focus-lock is so much faster than C510 (which I am owning now) during low light condition (you will know how terribly slow C510 trying to focus-lock in low light if you owned one) !

for camera, i'll take this phone.. over C905... yep, C905 is 8MP, but in computer, it looks horrible in full size..
C901 camera pictures already spread on net.. I can say it's better than K850i (mind you that this C901 only using original 1st batch of its camdriver)

ermm, my mum is going to buy herself second phone,

she said either go for cheap one or expensive one...

Gonna tell her buy this phone.. Then exchange with my C702 lor.. hahaha..

yeah.. i bought it last sunday from lowyat.. here's my first gadget review after using this phone for 4 days n btw, this is my 1st SE phone

Appearance-
I love it! It's slim, keypad is comfortable.. what else can i say?

Camera-
Easy access, camera quality is good and it satisfies me but I think it can be better coz Im still learning to familiarise myself with the all the camera settings. Xenon flash is bright n excellent and hurts my eyes In short, I love taking pictures with this phone and I'll try to post pics more often in the camera phone shots gallery

Downside is the silicone jacket is still unavailable when I bought it

Overall, as a student, the phone is perfect for me and I think it can last me for a long time

It's an ori set, (Thorus)

Rm1.3k is pretty reasonable.

5mp camera + Xenon flash is all I need. LED flash and the others suck.

If Nokia doesn't come out with something to rival this phone's camera quality by early next year, I'm gonna own 1 unit of this. ;D

Btw, any colour other than black? I'm a red person.

I know...but that phone is abit overpriced for me since I don't use all the N series functions anyway... And it's bulky too.
