yeah, the camera and screen i admire the most, but for such a big screen watching videos is most enjoyable

anyway i hope someone who love symbian and omniaHD will buy my newly bought i8910 below

whats the retail price 8gb and 16gb of omina hd??

Only 8GB is available in the market now......except u can get it from Singapore...

That is one reason that i couldn't decide which one to go for. I'm using LG Arena now and i know how great the capacitive screen is compare to aging resistive type.
But for 'openness' nothing come near WM, thanks to the tedious S60's software registration "process".

I went to test on the i8910 HD last night, the screen was gorgeous & marvellous in the first sight.

In terms of the UI, even with its capacitive screen type, the touch & scrolling feel is kind of
different compare to iPhone & other capacitive screen phones. You just can't scroll thru the
menu page by page as what other capacitive screen phone does. I believe this is the constraint
of the Symbian OS.

Did any of you guys who own the i8910 HD notice that there is an annoying mechanism moving
sound came out from its camera when you try to press on the camera shuttle for focussing?
Wondering whether this is a common symptoms thru out all the i8910 HD phones?
I tested on the macro mode trying to snap a small object in very close distance but the phone
just couldn't get the focussing clear besides hearing the "tek tek tek tek tek..." sound from the
camera, sigh...

The effort for the gallery menu to show up all the images smoothly/completely when you tried to
scroll up/down the pages also another minus point of this phone.

Except the above two to three negative feedbacks, the overall phone performance is pretty impressive
especially on its AMO LED screen, video playback capability & also the external speaker sound quality
(the best that i have ever heard).

I must agree that this is the best Symbian phone in the market at this point of time, bravo!!

Did you bought the phone? Where did you try out the phone? Is it Central Square?
S60 5th definitely is not fully optimised for touch usage, the UI is a bit unfriendly as some needs a single while others needs double touch . I've Nokia5800 so i know how it feels.

Battery life is a bit suck.....full charged yesterday and use about 10 min of garmin....drop 2 bar already...hehehehehe...

ahhhh ? Is everyone having the same experience ? If yes, its quite pointless having GPS on the phone..if roughly 10 mins is 2 bars...a little more than half an hour and then phone would be dead...

This is exactly the same problem faced by i8510 (Innov8) but i thought the latest GarminXT has already fixed the problem,no?

I am using Garmin 500.50...by the way.

Guess you have to resolve to killing the TSRAutoStart.exe from memory again.

Ya,the battery life is no good even with 1500Amh capacity. The battery bar drop pretty fast not only during garmin navigation, also during internet surfing. A bit regret now cause the battery life segment is crucial to me...

How to resolve the Tsautorun.exe problem
Provide a background service that monitors incoming messages which may contain information used by Garmin Mobile XT. A new setting will allow the user to turn this option off (Tools -> Settings -> System -> Launch Background Service). And after that tsautorun.exe wont appear anymore

Is that the one...done already disable it, isn't it??

on newer GMXT (.40 and above), tsautorun disabled by default.

sighh.. jz play around with the omnia hd browser.. damn hard to navigate!! hard to scroll also.. push push drag drag no response one.. wasted 10mins just to get in to this page.. sumtimes the page link in LYN is unable to detect so cant press.

Take it easy bro....like N97 and 5800 also got this problem except iphone...hehehehe
