Currently, been comparing this unit with Lg Viewty smart. Both are having 8MP camera. Viewty smart's user interface is quite attractive with its S-Class 3D and the transparent keyboard which can also act as mouse.
But i8910 is and open system running on Symbian. This is definitely a plus against Lg Viewty smart which runs on close system.
I think i will be getting which ever comes out first to replace my current i8510.

UK site has already up the image. Guess it going to release soon. Anyone know when is the exact date for it to launch over here?

Just called the samsung mobile centre, they also no quite sure when is the launch date but do mention about June though.

I8510 should be around RM2600~RM2800 if i'm not mistaken. I bought my last year with RM2700 (8G version).
Heard from other forumer here in other thread that Zitron has begun taking in i8910 stock now. Hopefully, the launch is near. I'll be getting this and the other LG Arena together.

Just received email from fan club. The unit is listed under up-coming unit.

Omnia2 is still a long way off but I8910 is going to launch pretty soon. The main different should be the OS used. I8910 is running on Symbian while Omnia2 should be running on WM (if i'm not mistaken). Personally, i hate WM due to its in-effeciency on managing hardware resource. This cause the unit to run slower and hogging more resource. Symbian is well optimize for handheld device so effectively, it runs smoother and last longer than typical WM device.

There is always a way to get it faster one lar.

Yesterday called up the shop, they said will be getting the stock in two weeks time. The launch is imminent.

Wrong. It depends on the OS deployed. For example, S60 5.0 in some screen especially the main screen, you needs merely a touch to register the command. While in some other place like sub-menu you needs to double touches it to select and run the app.
The no. of touch is nothing to do with resistive or capacitive. It is the way the OS interface employed to control the interaction.

Resistive = double click
Capacitive = 1 click

See how you made others confuse and came to a wrong conclusion from the reply above? In actual fact, capacitive can also be 2 click and resistive can also be 1 click if the "software" vendor want it be. Not brand or manufacturer. Of course you can still argue that the closed system OS is from the manufacturer itself.

My patience is running out now. Might switch to Omnia II.

The actual fact is anything above 5MP (some say 3.2MP), pixel count isn't going to be a deciding factor in term of photo reproduction, and its eat up too much space with no significant gain.

Price wise is ok for me but a very tough choice that i have to make. I8910 vs I8000
I8910 has lower resolution while I8000 get the superb res. but I8000 is only employed the aging resistive touch while i8910 has a more advanced capacitive touch.
One has better 8MP camera and the othe one is only 5MP.
Very tough decision has to be make

Been waiting for almost half a year now and they keep on push the launch back and back .
Really fed-up with Samsung. Might wait for another month more to get the LG BL40. Although it has lower spec. compare to I8910 but no matter how strong the spec is, as long as they keep delaying the launch then there is nothing at all.

Are you from Cari? Frankly speaking, when they started to mention about having a problem with custom, immediately i smell something fishy already. The best you can hope for is about 1~2weeks time. Good luck waiting.

Last night went to Gurney Plaza, there is one shop quoted me RM2760. Package comes bundled with 8G micoSD, screen protector, car holder, car charger and blue tooth. Can some one confirm this?

Thanks will consider the offer. But doesn't all original unit comes bundled with these goodies? Reason i ask this is because i can get even cheaper offer (RM2600) but not sure about the accessories.

The latest GarminXT should work in S60.5th. as they are using the same OS as Nokia5800.
