QUOTE(Darkmage12 @ Jul 1 2009, 06:02 PM) Well I feel that only the points you mention earlier are the only specs which is better than N97....N97 has way bigger storage it also cannot stress out and crash by opening lots of application at once.... not only those...check the 2 review also....http://mytechnews.info/b/2009/06/speedtest-nokia-n97-vs-samsung-i8910-hd.html but wads the point of having that much memory....summore it is build in memory if wanna format time troublesome..... Same reasoning can be applied with HD. What's the point having multiple apps running in background? That just stressing the cpu and wasting battery. The cpu is much faster than N97 but it still not smooth with occasional hiccup? Nokia build firmware around their hardware limitation but Samsung use better hardware to mask their inability to produce good and regular firmware updates. Look at innoV8. Muscular spec but poor firmware support. In the end, it's the usability that matter, not hardware. P.S: I'm personally love HD i8910 too over Satio and N97. Capacitive screen FTW!

QUOTE(blinky @ Jul 2 2009, 10:32 PM) Thanks bro. Imo, RM2899 for 8GB unit is kinda high. Might wait for SG set as the price might be cheaper... else I'll consider other phones then...

Haha no problem. Was never interested in this phone because I bought the N97 anyway. Plus Samsung phones' 2nd hand value is akin to Korean cars. Haha. Just came across the article and thought of sharing it here

QUOTE(13579 @ Jun 30 2009, 12:01 AM) errrr.. based on alot alot of users and reviewers of Omnia HD overseas, all also said the Omnia HD touchscreen is no difference from the Iphone smoothness. Altho Iphone has the most smooth touchscreen but Omnia HD users say not much difference compared to Iphone for smoothness on touchscreen.. by the way how u know the "touch" on Omnia HD not so good? I saw video reviews on youtube I'm talking about the "scrolling" in omnia HD.The touch does not have any flow(great example would be 5800XM),while iphone has that flow.I'm talking about scrolling down contacts, list of songs, stuff like that I guess its the symbian limitation.Anyway, iphone and palm pre are well known for their "touch use interface". Tell u what, u go test the 5800XM and iphone then u will know the difference This post has been edited by -kytz-: Jul 5 2009, 01:29 AM

Anyway I wanted to get the Omnia HD but I heard a lot of problems with it. Despite it being s60v5, most of the s60v5 apps available for the Nokia 5800XM and N97 is not compatible with the Omnia HD. So I'm like wondering, whats going on I bet even simple stuff like Garmin XT will be buggy. They put the blame of the touchwiz Omnia interface.
