Hmmm, if <3k then still within budget... but now instead of simply being OmniaHD v. PalmPre for me, it's now OmniaHD v. PalmPre v. Jet... Omnia just a li'l to large for me to be completely happy. so many choices!!!

omg! Samsung Jet? how can u compare it with those phones? Samsung Jet suck!! if not mistaken it has no Wi-Fi! wat is a smartphone for these days if without Wi-Fi?

Hey bro i like the omnia HD too and would want it some day...but the "touch" not so good.Sluggish.If u have tried the 5800XM u will know what i mean.Palm Pre and Iphone are on their own league in terms of "touch,smoothness"..really dunno whats the term for that..

errrr.. based on alot alot of users and reviewers of Omnia HD overseas, all also said the Omnia HD touchscreen is no difference from the Iphone smoothness. Altho Iphone has the most smooth touchscreen but Omnia HD users say not much difference compared to Iphone for smoothness on touchscreen.. by the way how u know the "touch" on Omnia HD not so good?

Actually, Jet not really a smartphone. Personally, I'm looking for something that can mainly function as a media player (video more than audio) as much as a phone.... beyond that, so long as I can say run Google Maps & check Gmail is fine by me. Jet is a contender for me mainly because of it's design, size and price. The HD is a beaut, but it's not really as jeans-pocket friendly

but how to run Google Maps n check Gmail without Wi-Fi? unless u got mobile broadband package.. hehe

The same way I do for my current phone.... do it for the occasional data charges. BTW, from everything I've seen, the Jet does have some sort of WiFi connectivity.

still not yet finalise so cant confirm.. in Samsung website or Samsung Jet http://jet.samsungmobile.com/#/feature website can't find Wi-Fi in the specs but review site said yes.. guess u'll have to wait for the confirmed version.

Worker: omnia hd?!! hm......around MID July

me: can i know the price?

Worker: Omnia HD will be RM 2899 ......for 8GB

me: ?!!! so how about 16GB?

Worker: oh...because 16GB now got lagging problem, so we only release 8GB......

me: ok....Thanks....and i walk away

GOOD: release in mid July quite fast...and the Worker tell the truth

yea...btw i also go speedy brought over RM30 stuff and got the form to win omnia hd but i think whole msia only free 1 omnia hd i might not so lucky to get it..so dont know whether wan to send the form or not....hm..

Do keep in mind that it is 8 megapixel, world 1st HD vid capability and AMOLED display.....so it might cost a bomb....

Yup I do agree but if the price is too steep and huge difference from it's competitor then it would probably be a hard sell for them anyway
