Samsung also announced that the Samsung i8910 Omnia HD should start selling from 1 August at a recommended retail price of 540 euro. The first samples (mostly carrier-customized units) of the monster-spec'd Symbian handset made their way to the market back in May but right after its launch mass production was stopped in order for some i-dotting and t-crossing to take place. Apparently there were some issues with the Omnia HD that Samsung wanted to get fixed before the handset received wider availability.

Pros:
- Fast, fast, fast. I owned IPhone (1st & 2nd gen) and Nokia 5800. But this fella is fast in its

- Build quality plasticky and a fingerprint nightmare esp the back cover.
- Firmware is I8910DXIG1 - old firmware compared to updated G2 for Italy, HK, Malaysia,etc.
- So no fix to audio during high def recording (no aac).
- Music player is quite soft even at max (reminds me of IPhone first gen).
- Widgets are kinda laggy and a coupla times reboot my phone. So I disabled the widgets.
Not a big deal since I do not like samsung widgets (I had the F480, Samsung Star, Omnia
previously too).
- Very limited stuff bundled with a supposedly flagship device. No tv RCA cable as described
by GSMArena. But then it's easy to get one. Only charger, earpiece, usb data cable & CD
for PC Studio 7 (layout looks like Nokia's and does not work properly [unlike Nokia's] )

Overall I like this device.
For guys who can flash firmware, pls help me when you finally get a set. I am still a noobie. Kam-siah.

huh ~ still have to wait until september ? pengsan liao~ , but yesterday my kl friend go to brightstar shop there and saw the manager use samsung i8910 hd already, and the manager said actually i8910 hd already arrive malaysia , but just got a little problem ( i think is kastam problem ),so have to wait more 1 ~ 2 days, coz now not only i8910 hd stuck at kastam there, is about all samsung FMG handset also like that ~ 

Weird the Manager will can used it before the public..double standard...
