Weight Weenie definition

"enthusiast who becomes obsessed with subtracting weight from his bicycle at all costs, including overriding safety concerns and practicality. A Weight Weenie will always replace a 100 gram component with a 99 gram component regardless of all other factors, including cost, durability, and overall design and functionality. Materials that are commonly used in the pursuit of lightness include: aluminum, carbon fiber, composites, and titanium"

The weight weenie will choose RST FIRST or Spinner Aeris ..hehehhee...

Ober: Congratulations on your new purchase. thumbup.gif
Btw guys, last week I went cycling @ FRIM (4 pm -> 7 pm on 22nd March '09).
If not mistaken, the trail is called "Steroids Hill" (Fu*king steep hill, shakehead.gif).
The second trail I did is called "Rovers" and the third trail I did is called "Dreamers" (if not mistaken).
Also, what do you classify as "downhill"? Going down-the-hill fast, if fast, what speed as in "km/h"? brows.gif
My cycling partner, who was going down-the-hill on his 12-year-old weight-weenie (A Cannondale with HeadShok), hit a rock and flipped over. If not mistaken, he said that he's got a "micro-fracture on his hip". sweat.gif
Me on the other hand, was trailing behind him down "Steroids Hill" (1st time @ FRIM, too excited), I was going at about 40 km/h +/-, slammed my brakes and jerked while on the saddle and ended up with my cycling pants "ripped".
PS: I was cycling *almost* plainly on my underwear cause of the big tear mark. doh.gif
Maxguy: May I know where'd you purchase/acquire your cycling shorts (tights)? It's urgent, I needa' get them before this Sunday, can get @ Rodalink?
1. We didn't have to pay for any entrance fee while entering FRIM.
2. We parked the car at the Sg. Buloh Hospital's free parking.
3. Cycled through the botany shops/ex-leprosy hospital and ended up on the way to "Steroids Hill".
Next week I'll be going to FRIM (Again) during 7.30 am -> 10.30 am (Not PM!)

Taipei is all the way up north and Kenting (Pingtong) is on the southern tip.... about a 6 hour drive or 2 hour by high speed rail + ~2hour bus.

I didn't stayed at that hotel but most hotels there are reasonably bike friendly in the sense that there's bike parking and will have air pump facilities.
