Where to buy diesel besides pertrol station. Any specific grade of diesel that is recommended? Sorry ya...I want to get too.
I heard sifus say never use wd-40 la. Not good for the chain. I dont like the idea of getting that stuff seeping into the rollers between the chain. Currently, I just use a rag to wipe the chain until clean (but cannot get between the rollers), then re-lube it. Thinking of getting diesel and give it a good scrub.

Logically, SLX is the best choice but just considering what other alternatives are there out there.... 2009 Stylo is now revised with OCT (hollow ler tu) and ceramic bearings wor.

Also 2009 XT.. lighter by some grams. There's also a trekking version (48T but chainguard). They shud've changed the crankarm color

2009 Stylo OCT + GXP ceramic BB --> 820grams --> ~NT5200 (roughly RM570 I think)

how bout we post about ridings? for xc'ers instead, how do u guys maintain ur cadence for a long time.

for dher's, how do u guys counter the fear of taking a drop or gap.

It's kinda hard to describe it on a computer screen while not on the bike since most of it is like natural reaction.

What I do (or I think I do) is that I will move my ass forward of the saddle..semi-resting (not actually sitting but not actually standing either) the clenched (to avoid getting sodomised) asscheeks on the beak of the saddle.....arms will be in a L position so it reacts to the bumps and stuff better compared with the slightly stretched position while on the flats..... and when sense cadence dropping... will drop to the "effortless gear".

Because my routes are fixed... I sorta know what speeds @ what gear and at what point I should drop to go with my optimum cadence. Of course, it takes about 15 minutes for me to get into this "optimum" cadence in the sense of warming up.
ps: will try to make this as poison-free and stomach friendly as possible but lighter rotating weight helps a shitload.

okay. from my past experience.

what i do when i offroadd climbing is to set your gear at a speed u can maintain. let's say 2x4 would be the best for any terrain on offroad i guess.

then god helps if there is no tire slips during climbing cause that will definitely lose the momentum.

of course breathing help you too.

no lah. do a drop with confidence and safely. but then those are the parts that always puts you on doubt to do a drop. it's just a matter that you know you can take it and do not think twice. hehe.

Kiara.. if you are really a newcomer then I suggest you go find some other singletracks (any dirt path will do) or unless you got a someone/group to guide you to Kiara, then can go. I'd say that the 2k trail is very smooth flowed except for some parts which I think most of us push our bikes up. It's technical in certain areas..

Yes there is a track that goes around the area between BMC and the hill where the water treatment plant is. I've never been there myself but if I.m not mistaken it starts somewhere just before the traffic light near the newly completed block od shops towards the Bandar Tun Hussein Onn interchange. You can also ask Simon (012- 659 3739) of C & C Cycle Trading located @ Taman Rakan or Khairi (016-6218501) of K-Fine Bike Shop in Sg Sekamat of places to ride.

I'm also like you...all fat & unfit...currently I'm doing the tarmac loop around Sg Long. I you see a guy on '08 Trek 4500, that's me...
