QUOTE(latias93 @ Mar 16 2009, 01:16 PM) Depends on your budget - I'd highly recommend SR Suntour forks. Alot of people here are using Suntours too. If your budget is around RM300 then get the SR Suntour XCR. Around RM500-600, get the SR Suntour Epicon. At about RM450 or so (not sure) you can also get a RockShox Dart 3. But what kind of riding you do? Do you do cross-country or just pusing-pusing around town only? i've done my first jungle ride in ulu yam dam.. but nowdays been so much wit work, i've to start back on it all over again.. i dun mind kiara or frim bcoz i live in desa jaya.. i use my bike on normal road & off the road.. now just got my Maxxis Wet Stream tyresHm.. most of us here hardly meet each other in this forum.. since we are all spread all over the country and globe.. but I see that a few of us regularly go on rides in Kiara, FRIM and so on. I mostly test my wares in Kiara, since it's near my home in Mutiara Damansara. |

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Mar 17 2009, 12:44 AM) Very nice... just coincident that I saw the same frame in my LBS under the La Bichi brand totally pimped up. I'm not sure abt the spec in detail. but all i know is i'm in love wit my silver arrow. heheheheThe eye catcher's the top tube Added on March 17, 2009, 12:12 am QUOTE(latias93 @ Mar 17 2009, 12:52 AM) My cousin is now a skateboarder LOL. RM60/pair that's the price of my Kenda Kinetics. But it's not those types with white Kenda writings at the sides - mines all black, I suspect it's a reproduced pair. But it still has front/rear specific tyre grooves.. and even thought its not pure ori tyres can still climb better than my friend's Kona Cowan with Kenda Blue Groove tyres. My 10-year old GT Backwoods still can climb like a goat! bro. i dunno abt the rotors. but all i know is this brakes r like shit & i have to always brake early to stop .. sob sob..Wow sweet.. but the other parts is rigid lah? Hey.. are those disc brakes using Hayes rotors? I like your tyres man.. what does it say, Werscream? What brand is that? EDIT: Those are Maxxis? Wow! No money to buy any more Maxxis xD (never bought any anyway) This post has been edited by bonesboy: Mar 17 2009, 12:12 AM |

QUOTE(siong830 @ Mar 17 2009, 02:56 AM) Hi everyone, i took a very extremely long break from this forum. Been extremely busy, seldom ride also. Come back to find out its already V9 and its 4+ pages. Trying to catch up with MTB'ing. Hope to ride with u guys again very soon. i'll be getting my brake system changed soon. so not to worry. end of the month i'm getting my shit shifters changed to Deore shifters.. then later changed the front & rear derailleurs.. how much will that cost? i agree wit u bro.. the fork feel like it's hard & not responding to the road bump very well. i will change it maybe end of April. cheersAdded on March 17, 2009, 2:04 am Bro, this was my first mountain bike. Its cheap but nice and do the job just nice. I still have the frame with me. Planing to build a roadie with it. I saw a guy built a Dirt Jump bike with this frame last time, damn cun. This bike was made by local bike company, Gin Huat. Their warehouse is near my shop. If ur riding in FRIM during the weekend, you might see the boss riding with his fellow staffs there. Everything on it are ZOOM brand. The part wear and tear very fast, not lasting. About your braking problem, try change the brake pad. I had the same problem last time. And the fork feels like rigid fork just after few off-roading. Your should be planing to change them soon. This post has been edited by bonesboy: Mar 17 2009, 07:17 AM |

QUOTE(bezet @ Mar 17 2009, 08:11 PM) nothing much about the technical problem with the Deore itself la. If you change to Deore and stay in this thread. Sooner or later, the guy with the dancing spy lady will start indirectly poison you.. (even though he say he self poison Bro. i understand wat u mean. but to me, i'm happy wit every feedback frm u guys. i'm a person who buy things wit the amount of cash i can spend on.. frame is not a thing for me. for me is my fork, brakes, shifters & also minor add ons. i've been thru the same thing wit computers.. i know my limit.. tq 4 the advice bro.. cheersIf you can tahan, no problem with Deore Shifter+RD. They feel great and precise than my chapalang shifter. cost me RM300+ last time to change to deore shifter and RD.
