Looks like the Ukrainian, currently hitting it big in Germany, may not come back to Anfield after all. Voronin in talks over extending Hertha move» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Andriy Voronin claims he has opened talks with Hertha Berlin over extending his loan spell from Liverpool.
The Ukrainian is on a season-long loan deal from the Anfield club and scored twice in the 2-1 win over Bayern Munich at the weekend which sent Hertha top of the Bundesliga.
Voronin reportedly met with club officials, including general manager Dieter Hoeness and head of player licence Michael Preetz, yesterday to discuss the possibility of him staying at the Olympiastadion beyond the end of the campaign.
"Yes, we have spoken for the first time," Voronin told the Bild newspaper.
"It was a good talk. I think we are on a positive path," his agent Andrey Golowasch added. Hoeness admits Hertha would like to keep hold of the forward.
"There is a willingness on both sides to continue further," he said. "We value Andriy's performances very much - his goals, presence and experience.
"He also says Hertha are his top priority because he feels very happy with us and in Berlin. Now we have to look for solutions together."

i won't say we're really jinxed when playing at home. more like visiting teams tend to play more cautiously away and we aren't good enough to penetrate the defence of some of these teams.
in games like these we'll need the creative spark of players like benayoun, considering that gerrard is still nursing his injury i believe benayoun will be drafted into the side facing man city.
a sure starter would be riera, who has got the past 2 weeks off. hope he's good enough to last an entire match and contribute effectively. and expecting insua to be on the bench after what RB has said, he'll probably need some time to regain his fitness after playing as CB occasionally during his time with the argies.

yeah..i like benayoun to start coz he likes to go into defenders, not like kuyt who prefers to do the otherway around. babel better stay on the bench and go in in the last 15 mins when city's defenders tired of their legs....
but true...other teams prefer for a draw playing at anfield...thats why games at anfield are rated boring and very predictable...but whatever it is, i still believe we can get the maximum point this weekend...boring or no boring, 3 points are what we need...
hope RB can break the anfield jinxs!!!
