i don't know whether RB is the best candidate to bring us to the glory days but the only thing i'm certain is that chances of us winning the title this season (or the next few) is close to nil if we sack RB. we are, if people are unaware, still in the race for the league title this season. agger is a good defender, yes, but so are carra, skrtel and hyypia. if we believe all the hypes and rumours written by the media, then we will be left with half the squad. this is not the first time agger has been reported to be 'unhappy', until the day liverpool sanction the transfer of agger to another club he's just another professional working in the first team.

Call me mean if you want.No doubt that Agger has the quality to be better than Carra but at the moment, the Skrtel+Carra partnership is doing great and I see no point in changing that. There is one simple reason why Carra is undroppable. He is consistent and rarely put in a wrong foot.He might scored a couple of own goals these recent years but his performance at the back is one of the best, even better than Skrtel and Agger. If Agger is to leave because of lack of football, let him be.It will be a waste if he leaves us but at the same time, I prefer the best thing to happen for our club rather than playing them just for the sake of preventing them to leave.

To keep the discussions moving, since it's a quiet FA Cup weekend for us and with a chronic lack in depth of a quality striker... what do you guys think of Santa Cruz? He's pretty much proven himself, and has even scored against us. Santa Cruz still eyeing move away from RoversSource: Soccernet» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz hopes to keep Rovers in the Barclays Premier League - and secure himself a move to a bigger club in the process.
Manchester City last month failed with multiple bids for 27-year-old, who arrived at Ewood Park in 2007.
"I felt I had needed to give back the club everything they gave me with more effort by playing another season,'' the former Olimpia and Bayern Munich forward told Fox Sports en Latinoamerica.
"Being threatened by relegation stopped me moving.''
However, the Paraguay international feels his time at Blackburn is coming to an end.
He said: "My task at Blackburn is done, (the board) knew how I was thinking when I arrived to the club.
"I came here for continuity, to get up to pace again and I did pretty quickly. My intention was always to get in shape and then move to a big club.
"The transfer window put me in touch with people very interested in having me and of course I'm seduced by the idea of playing at very big club again.
"The Blackburn board are aware of that and accept it, but then we were in the relegation places and playing in the top flight is priceless for them. I understand that.''

I agree with you, except for the Agger part. He's an excellent defender, and it would be a pure waste if he left. Benitez should not sell him, and instead give him some starts at the leftback position which isn't really 'solid' yet. I agree with you on the Carra, Skrtel part though. If Benitez ever drops Carragher, i'll book a flight to Mersey Side, and i'll burn his house.

Will big sam sell him with reasonable price? The last time Big sam slammed price tag on him was last month and it's around 20million pounds. He does have a couple of years in front of him but will him work well with Torres? I seriously doubt about that...

There is a big possibility he will miss out the match against Madrid.Anyway, I would like to see how Mascherano silent Van der vaart like how he did to Kaka last time.

just for some reading Andriy Voronin fires Hertha Berlin to top of Bundesliga with win over Bayern MunichHe may be almost a forgotten man in Liverpool but they were singing his name long and loud in Berlin after Andrey Voronin's memorable double strike sunk Bayern Munich and lifted Hertha to the top of the German league » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « By Ben Findon in Berlin Last Updated: 3:19PM GMT 15 Feb 2009
Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez dispatched Voronin to Germany on a season's loan last summer but while Liverpool look short on strike options as they pursue Manchester United, at least the offloaded Ukrainian is savouring that top- of-the-table feeling.
Leaders Hoffenheim crashed 4-1 to Bayer Leverkusen on Friday evening, leaving the winners of Saturday afternoon's Hertha-Bayern showdown in front of a 74,000 full-house Olimpiastadion to go top of the Bundesliga.
Although Bayern's glittering cast of Franck Ribery, Luca Toni, Miroslav Klose and Phillip Lahm dominated possession, it was two predatory moments from Vorinin, deployed as a hard-running lone attacker, that settled the match.
He gave Hertha the lead shortly before the interval, peeling off Bayern defender Christian Lell to head home. Then, after Miroslav Klose had levelled on the hour, he crowned a Hertha counter-attack by steering the ball beyond Bayern goalkeeper Michael Rensing 13 minutes from the end.
It was a historic moment. Hertha had not beaten Bayern in Berlin since 2001 and the victory took them top for the first time since October 2006.
Bayern coach Jurgen Klinsmann, who saw Luca Toni limp off with a first-half ankle injury, described Voronin's performance as "superb".
Voronin said: "It was a perfect day, not only for me but for the club and the whole city. We had nothing to lose against Bayern and we proved that with the wonderful support of our fans."
The league table was flashed up on the stadium's giant screens within seconds of the final whistle, with Voronin and his team-mates, who have excelled beyond expectations this season, celebrating with a 15-minute lap of honour in front of Hertha's first sell-out crowd of the season.
Voronin, 29, joined Liverpool on a free transfer from Leverkusen in 2007 and was handed the No 10 shirt that once belonged to Michael Owen but Injury and loss of form cost him his Anfield starting place.
Four points cover the five man contenders in an increasingly absorbing German title race. Hoffenheim's remarkable progress has slowed with the Leverkusen drubbing being preceded by the dropping of points at foot-of-the table Borussia Moenchengladbach. Favourites Bayern had already slipped up recently at Martin Jol's Hamburg who. along with Leverkusen, are in close pursuit of Hertha. source
