MU is really good on grinding out 1-0 result. How many they had 1-0 match lately, reckon not less than 5 in a row.

Just wish Liverpool has those kind of result, instead of always give heart attack game to the fans by winning 3-2 after trailing behind, not less than 2-3 occassion this reason that Liverpool won it late and by trailing.

If not trailing behind then 0-0.

So which one fans should be choosing? biggrin.gif

Like I said before, if opponent score 1st, mostly we will come out winning. brows.gif

If we score 1st, we will lose/draw...Look at the game against Spurs, Kuyt scored 1st then we lose tongue.gif

Prefer doing it from behind brows.gif

kudos to that. sometimes i even wish the other team would score first so liverpool will attack more. i was actually ecstatic when hull scroed first on their last encounter. i even though that liverpool are going to give the the beating of their life. unfortunately, hull doubled their lead. by then i was content with a draw and true enuf, that's what we got-_-

really happy when torres scored the winning goal against pompeu because at first when look at the line-up, really thought liverpool cant win that game. Only Your TEAM can deny Masturbate United to win the title. Hope Liverpool can do that.

Can you please not practice such blatant name calling, especially in another team's thread?

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Feb 9 2009, 11:27 AM)
Here's the problem I have with Babel. He holds up the ball really well, make no mistake about that. However by doing so it distruptes the momentum of the team. He may be playing to instruction but I feel that he is more concerned with beating defenders on his own rather than utilising teammates. To me he has the "Milan Baros syndrome" in that he keeps his head down and tries to do too much on his own. To be honest we were amazing against Portsmouth towards the end of the 2nd half. We were executing quick one two's to perfection. When a player keeps the ball too long, it disrupts the runs made by other players and everyone else ends up standing around waiting to see what he's going to do with the ball. He may have good individual skills but he needs to be more of a team player if you ask me.
*
Absolutely agree with you on this. Each time he gets the ball he will inevitably decide to take on all the defenders that come at him and similarly lose the ball each time as well.

yeah..no goals..but he played very well.....credits to him....

This was another reason why I felt we should have kept Keane even though he was not setting the score sheets on fire. He has the reputation for scoring which means defenders just cannot afford to leave him alone.

Voronin open to Liverpool return

Hertha Berlin striker Andriy Voronin has hinted that he would be interested in returning to Premier League title hopefuls Liverpool.

Voronin joined the Bundesliga side on a one-year loan last summer after struggling to make an impact at Anfield.

The Reds, though, have since sold Robbie Keane back to Tottenham, and questions marks remain over the depth of their strikeforce.

Voronin insists he is happy to remain at the Olympiastadion but intimated at an interest in returning to the Premier League.

He told Bild: "There have been no talks between me, my agent and (Hertha general manager) Dieter Hoeness, yet.

"We want to have talks with Berlin quickly. I know my agent has been talking to Liverpool recently.

"I still have a contract at Anfield. They've just sold Robbie Keane. Up until he joined last summer, I was getting games for Liverpool.

"They have a shortage of strikers now. I would enjoy staying at Hertha. And even if I am not to stay on, I will give my very best until the very end."

If we really short of strikers with Ngog and babel still playing championship football, we might as well call him back... wink.gif

its better to use our youth and reserve players at times like this..

ngog / el zhar / pacheco / babel...
i believe that we have quality players to challenge for titles
its just how rafa play them and his tactics that's need to be improved..
somehow what i see now is Rafa is still experimenting with Liverpool fc..try and testing and he is near to his final product..but just not there yet
