QUOTE(solstice818 @ Feb 9 2009, 06:13 PM) It seems like everyone forget him Voronin open to Liverpool return Hertha Berlin striker Andriy Voronin has hinted that he would be interested in returning to Premier League title hopefuls Liverpool. ![]() Voronin joined the Bundesliga side on a one-year loan last summer after struggling to make an impact at Anfield. The Reds, though, have since sold Robbie Keane back to Tottenham, and questions marks remain over the depth of their strikeforce. Voronin insists he is happy to remain at the Olympiastadion but intimated at an interest in returning to the Premier League. He told Bild: "There have been no talks between me, my agent and (Hertha general manager) Dieter Hoeness, yet. "We want to have talks with Berlin quickly. I know my agent has been talking to Liverpool recently. "I still have a contract at Anfield. They've just sold Robbie Keane. Up until he joined last summer, I was getting games for Liverpool. "They have a shortage of strikers now. I would enjoy staying at Hertha. And even if I am not to stay on, I will give my very best until the very end." Source: TeamTalk how is his performance over there? If we really short of strikers with Ngog and babel still playing championship football, we might as well call him back... |

QUOTE(solstice818 @ Feb 27 2009, 03:59 PM) My Line Up Prediction: MR selfish. Reina Arbe Carra Skrtel(Agger will start if no "back injury") Doss Bena Alonso Mascherano Babel Gerrard Kuyt Riera picked up a knock, plus he always kena sub at 60minutes due to his stamina problem. Thus, I believe he wont be starting...Mr Selfish will start. |

QUOTE(hfi @ Feb 27 2009, 11:01 PM) Exactly, that title winning Chelsea team, offensively is still a lot more potent than our current team and imo is a lot better than current Chelsea team. Midfield wise they then had Essien and Mikel anchoring with the likes of Makalele and Parker in the bench as cover. i think he will come. if he got the chance. don forget, before he go for chelsea, the reporters asked him which club will he go for if he manage in EPL. he said LIVERPOOLAdded on February 27, 2009, 11:05 pm He wont come here, i bet he much rather have Ferguson job. Managing Liverpool pose far greater challenge to cope with. |

QUOTE(solstice818 @ Feb 28 2009, 01:58 PM) Babel will definitely start regardless of what happen... As for Lucas, I'm not so sure...Will Alonso make way for Lucas in such an important match? Well, I cant be sure especially after seeing Rafa's frustrating face in Real Madrid match when Alonso made a powwwwwwwwderful fk...He seems unhappy with Alonso...hmmm yeah.. he bloody not happy with that free kick but have to accept that sometimes freekick is hard to convert isn't it? i think he is holding some grudge of wanting to sell him off as soon as possible. |

QUOTE(solstice818 @ Feb 28 2009, 02:13 PM) Somehow, I got a feeling Alonso will leave regardless of how well he play this season. Babel scored?? that is one in a million chance.. Anyway, To start Mr Jual Ikan at Riverside stadium seems reasonable. Ikan and Riverside seems related somehow.. My bet on Babel to open the scoring |

QUOTE(solstice818 @ Mar 6 2009, 10:35 AM) Torres: I'll be fit for Real and United the last paragraph.. it is still good that torres will stay at the club even rafa go. if he goes, i hope jose will take over. he is facing a lot of problems in italy now. Liverpool striker Fernando Torres is confident he will be fit for the club's crucial clashes in Europe and at home in the next 10 days. The Reds take on Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie looking to progress with a 1-0 advantage from the first leg at the Bernabeu, and then face Manchester United in the Premier League in a match they have to win to have any hope of catching their bitter north-west rivals. Torres has not played since he suffered an ankle injury in that Madrid victory, but revealed on Thursday he is optimistic about returning next week. "I hope to be available for both of the matches because they will be two great games," he said in a webchat on his personal website. "The ankle injury has been giving me some trouble and the recovery process is taking longer than I hoped. "However, I am quite optimistic that I will be ready for the match versus Real Madrid, and if the ankle holds out, I will also be at Old Trafford." Torres does not accept the claim that his injury problems this season have cost Liverpool their chance of winning the Premier League title, adding: "I don't think that I'm to blame for the injuries, it forms part of the game. I have suffered three muscular injuries during the first three months of the competition, and now I have picked up an ankle injury. "I don't think that my injury should be considered as a reason for Liverpool not winning the league. Although following a couple of poor results we have lost touch with Manchester United at the top, the team has done well this season. The league though is still alive, but Man United are looking strong and they are not dropping points." The Spain forward insisted his own future at Anfield was not tied to that of manager and compatriot Rafael Benitez, who is yet to sign a new deal with Liverpool. "My future is tied with Liverpool, because I still have four years left to run on my contract," he added. "Therefore, should Rafa leave, I will stay on and fulfil my contract with the club. My wish is that Rafa extends his contract with Liverpool. I cannot think about how a possible departure might affect me, because it hasn't happened yet, and I don't like wasting time thinking about ifs and buts." |
