though we had a bit of luck with the first goal, there's no denying that liverpool is the better side. i thought with that line up they were bound for a draw again but babel and ngog didn't dissapoint that much. ngog showed interest and being so young, i'd say he did well
not forgeting rafa. man he put kuyt and torres as subs and both of em scored. it was worth every minute staying up til 3:30. though i still miss keane. too bad rafa had to sell him coz they were cash strapped. the only thing left is to pray that the devils fumble
btw, dont blame babel for the miss too much. gerrard and keane missed chances like those(bolton match). he was flagged anyway. babel was hard working on that match. though he lost possession a lot, it was only coz there were like 4 defenders charged at him. given a shot, he'd make it count for sure. he's young, needs time to develop
and what did dossena do wrong? he had a lot of possession and went forward well

QUOTE(hamsapfella @ Feb 8 2009, 03:53 AM) diouf and cisse was signed by houllier.. they are better outside liverpool IMO.. lucas is not consistent... keane and babel has the worst goalrate to transfer fee ratio... Waste of money.. babel is a winger in liverpool. and he doesn't start often. as for keane, u don't expect ppl to straight away adapt to new teams like torres did. torres is an ideal standard. you should base your judgements on normal standards

QUOTE(popsoul @ Feb 8 2009, 03:58 AM) Sol, your wet dreams can't be without Torres. Anybody noticed his gesture after the winner? Makes me wonder he was crossing his fingers anyway, going to bed. final note, give babel a break sleep tight people, have a nice dream but keep em DRY

why all the babel hate. for someone that young to play is premier league is not easy. when he scores, he gets all the cheers and when he missed just that one tap yesterday, ppl are hating him. he didn't play badly at all against pompey. he switches position with ngog to try and find space. he ran everywhere and had a couple of good passes.
what i do agree with is that he's not getting enough field time with liverpool. on his "good" day, he'll be a constant menace on the wings just like when he played against man u. i thought at 10.5 mil, he's a bargain and certainly a keeper

QUOTE(solstice818 @ Feb 9 2009, 02:19 PM) Like I said before, if opponent score 1st, mostly we will come out winning. If we score 1st, we will lose/draw...Look at the game against Spurs, Kuyt scored 1st then we lose Prefer doing it from behind kudos to that. sometimes i even wish the other team would score first so liverpool will attack more. i was actually ecstatic when hull scroed first on their last encounter. i even though that liverpool are going to give the the beating of their life. unfortunately, hull doubled their lead. by then i was content with a draw and true enuf, that's what we got-_-

i thought the reason benitez doesn't play babel much was because he lacked stamina. during last season, he was always subbed at the 60th minute even when he's playing a good game. then he seems to get lesser and lesser games
he's a natural striker though and putting him on the wing may not have shown his full potential. during the psv match he was superb playing along side robbie keane(it wasn't on astro, i watched it via streaming). i do agree with the part that rafa shouldn't risk young players playing crucial games. plus, looking at babel's playing style, it wouldn't go well with torres. i guess that's why he's stuck at the wings
and about him being selfish, i guess he rarely starts a match, and whenever he does, he has to show what he's got. the pressure might have made him selfish. what liverpool needs now is a supporting striker. gerrard have been feeding torres with the ball all this while. i guess keane doesn't fit well because he doesn't like the idea of being in a "supporting" role. still, he will be missed

lucas had his moments but sometimes i feel he gives the ball away too easily. i almost cried when el zhar was brought on but he played quite well. babel had pace, but nothing else. he should've crossed/passed when he had the chance.
torres can't do much, so tightly marked but he sparked a few good moves. kuyt never ceases to amaze me.
anyway, there goes the title. be realistic, we ain't getting it this year. what a dissapointment. and i doubt the UCL is going to be any easier. gerrard and alonso really are assets.

QUOTE(-Shinjiz- @ Feb 23 2009, 01:06 AM) True. He did some good job on the pitch and could be a teamwork player. I'm not seeing any good with Babel's performance recently. He played as if he could be the saviour in the end of the game but but but but...HELL! babel was thinking of tomorrow's headlines already. "supersub saves liverpool". i knew that he was going to play like that. 1-1, 10 minutes left, title depends on this. he has every motivation to try and get a goal. i never hated him b4, infact, i always defended him. but seriously, he needs to play as a striker. he cant be a wing if he cant/won't pass.

QUOTE(utp_tyco @ Feb 26 2009, 06:01 AM) wow...lady luck smile at liverpool again..~~!! hiu...we cant control the game at all but in the end we win... hope we improve at anfield.. come on reds..let show wut u can do in front the reds batalion..~~!!!! "anda tidak berjalan keseorangan~ Added on February 26, 2009, 6:03 amas i though..pepe gives a physical approach to torres..and torres cant handle it...hope there is no major injury~~ poor torres~~ but...beautiful ball by xabi...~!!!!he give us the win you mean aurelio rite? madrid was threatening the first 16 minutes. pass well, got forward, liverpool was helpless. as the match progressed, they dived, and dribbled too much. disrupt the flow. i felt that if robben we to cross more, it would've been more threatening. but robben realling despises me
