no thx. just need to add some red fans. some complaint that CM Neon fan too bright, so i've ordered the red 90cfm fan. hope the effect will be very nice.

as for the top fan, hvn think bout it yet.

red fans "fan" spotted.. jkjkjk

i wan red fan because of HAF, red fans suit HAF, no other colours attracts me.

Like many strong case designs, it may not be for everyone, but the features – especially the quiet and expandable airflow – alone make this a case that’s hard to hate. HAf have strong influence power.. hehe

my CM690 suck dust so much lor...
i've to clean it every 3 days, if not all mesh will be covered by dust.
i can't imagine how HAF in this dust scenario.
must have to clean it regularly..

If not i save money get HAF also, but HAF is a little full size la, my space here compact.....

and also design wise i like CM 690, nice, sleek and sexy

if ur place is full of dust then u hv to clean it very often la. got filter la, dun worry, one at the front and one at the bottom if not mistaken.

HAF and sniper really like vacum cleaner...suck and suck dust only..
i have exp with CM690. i think u will come to a point where a few degrees would not make wan to clean your case so often.

but clean them and dry them also fast mah

put the filters at the top 2 exhaust there then slowly let it dry

yes, CM690 is SEXY. i like... i think wanna add more blink2 in my case. the theme is blue

i thought stokin, but when u mention milk tea..then i know.. the "thing"that use to tapis the habuk tea. can u post some pic ar bro.. want to see how u do the filter.

use brush to clean the filters lo, easy only.

how you guys clean your casing? wanted to use paint brush and vacuum but afraid of electrostatic (although i saw some guys in PC shop did that). air canister seems good but expensive

brush and cloth lo, if got air gun better to clean the heatsink.

cant promise bout that.


i used to use vacuum cleaner to clean my casing. not small vacuum cleaner but 1200W Electrolux vacuum. now i only use kain n brush to clean cz vacuum already rosak.

bros, that stocking looks a lot like condom one
but the thing use to filter tea is very nipis and very very small liang one so not really recommended for ventilation la, too small

i use the normal lady's stocking, the hole kinda big compare to the tea filter, still ok la i guess.

by the way the CM 690 mobo tray fan never help??

******* HERE'S A GREAT IDEA *********

SIZE MUST BE ACCORDING TO THE FAN SIZE!!

Get a piece of spongy thing, u know those pencil box use one
Get rough cloths used by bags or stuff

cut the spongy thing with a circle according to the size of the fan fins of course

jahit pieces of rough clothes and put the spongy thing together
then cut hole for screws, mount it at the fan ***the spongy thing must touch the fan***
in this form u get noise reduction and also dust filter

same here. cloth and brush for me!! every 2 - 3 months "springclean" PC...madness wei
if possible bring to your regular workshop and use the air gun! LOL! thats what I did but pressure make sure not too strong if not maybe parts start flying ROFL!!

vacumm cleaner?? I used to do that but was very lucky coz i used to vacuum very near the mobo and found out its better not to vacuum near it at all.. learned from a friend who told me if u do that to the mobo or GC...and if any air particles goes thru it might cause errr cant remember the word but if really unlucky say byebye to the mobo. correct me if I'm wrong guys..

So now what I do is take out parts and brush it and clean with a damp cloth on the fans and use air canister on the mobo and GC. and so fast V5 adi

air flow will be blocked .. not a good idea =x

and anyway .. if you are going to put a dust filter .. when the dust starts to accumulate .. then your airflow will become bad ..

ofcourse, unless you are a hard working guy .. every week or so clean the filters

I would take the former as it is finer and block out more dust but more resistant to airflow but its ok coz I believe in the lower intake pressure to higher pressure of exhaust methodology/theory

my ex-CM690 stock and after been totally RED up.
my current HAF 932
and the rig i help friend build with CM690 with 2 90cfm blue fan on case and 2 on Hyper212 =D

speaking of dust filter we have one member using the car windows sun shade mah. cheap and effective. IMO 1 layer of that enough la. u add cloth with hole poke with needle will look kinda ugly(from wad i am imagine) and surely restrict the airflow by a big margin.

i got plan for my HAF932.. the problem is i dunno how to spray paint.. i wan to make the back black.... the inside i initially wanted to spray too but some other idea came up.. going to get those thin black sponge and cut them according to the lines in the case and the side panels and paste them on. this for a few reason. my system... everything is almost dead silent. case fan, CPU cooler are very silent.. just my 4870GS fan.... urgh.. the only source of noticeable noise. time to do some sound insulation... yet it will be a great cosmetic.

use WC on ur GC lo.

CM690 i decided to keep first .. but if you wanna buy then i might reconsider

good idea. something like sound deadening material for cars would be nice!

btw i get new casing coz first i kena poison from ThermalTake casing one
then went here did some research all call me get CM 690

then u all keep on posting pics and saying good stuffs about it then poisoned 100% liao

anyway, i wanted to change my casing at the first place also because mine totally cacat one

For CM690, u need to hav proper airflow.... My gf's brother just fried a 8800 Ultra.... Now need to return for RMA... Be careful since this case is not very ventilative.... My advice is to research on how to give the best airflow for ur components....

the critical part is the side panel fan, some set blow in and some set blow out. dunno which one better. most important one is put one more fan at the bottom and 2 at the top.

i also have problem on my SLI is like damn hot inside
once i sell my WC set i will post some poison pictures
