agreed. i guess outside KL the shops don't have so much competition, not like in KL, coz here people like to go to where ever they can get what they want for a cheaper price.

even the hardwares selling outside KL also is slightly slower than in KL. the latest hardware take some time to arrive there..

btw, Koki, where exactly is this Destiny shop?

err u know where is that Friends Cafe at Ipoh Garden East??
i think near there la, there's that damn Deztiny
*
i see..one day when i go back must go there and have a look tongue.gif

i also din really buy a lot of hardware when i was still back at ipoh. most of the time i keep saving until when i come to kl for holidays, then i ask my uncle to take me to lyp.
i seldom buy hardware in ipoh, unless emergency or just small hardware.laugh.gif

but now i study in kl much easier. cex also near my place, altho still considered quite a distance..haha
like others said, here you can definately get better service. it was when i came to kl to study that i started investing more on hardware.
here really got a lot of temptations laugh.giflaugh.gif

PCG...sounds familiar..haha

cm seems to be doing quite well with their elite series, frequent new models with affordable price and quality not bad also.

hard to do cable management though
i tried to reroute my 24-pin cable but it is too stiff and would obstruct the airflow to CPU, PSU and exhaust doh.gif
so just leave it be
the unused cables i just bundle em all up and hide in further away, IDE cable just make it look like part of casing as it is black as well
*
mine too, all either hidden behind or in the cdrom bay..need to reroute those to the back..coz i put at 12cm fan at the cdrom bay..
i think i'm gonna change to sata dvd-rw already, still find the ide cable a bit distracting, although it's the rounded type.

my bro using PATA DVD-RW and a WD SATAII HDD so no problem
i got 1 PATA HDD also, 200GB one

btw where u get the rounded type one??
sure, please tell if its molex or not
*
all my hdds are sata..haha..got uv reactive sata cables brows.gif
the rounded ide cable i bought from lyp..forgot which shop exactly already..
if not mistaken it's quite cheap only.
normal cables also can be turned into rounded ones, got many ways to mod the cable become rounded smile.gif

yeah koki..dun need to give face to them. just complain, coz they won't know who you are anyway. unless you are someone big, then maybe you have to think twice about reputation. they should have told you they did not have stock, or tell exactly when the stock will arrive, instead of giving empty promises and keeping you waiting.

i also mount my 12cm fan at the optical drive bay using the same method, it does help improve temps in my tight elite casing, although not by much.

btw, koki, thnx for the explaination. thinking of going modular, but then again i'm still stuck with my tight cm elite casing, to me it doesnt really make any difference whether the psu is modular or not laugh.gif

might change casing soon too, thinking of changing to ah lian casing lor..laugh.gif

yeah, that's gonna be quite a problem, i used the cable wraps before to neaten up my wires, in the end took them out coz i find it a bit hard if i wanna move my keyboard or mouse closer to me. even now at my hostel i just leave my wires like that, but of coz i do tie some of them together to minimize clutter.

can use those transparent ones instead of coloured ones. or repaint the box again, to a colour that suits your table so it would look like it's part of the table. but then again, it's just a box, and you put it under your feet. so who would really wanna have a look at it? biggrin.gif

unless you take pics and show to us like koki did la laugh.gif

edit: typo blush.gif

whoops..typo there..actually what i meant was unless we take pics and show our cable management box to other ppl, like you showed us, we don't really need to make the box nice nice laugh.gif

sorry sorry for the confusion blush.gif

Added on March 7, 2009, 12:22 amand yeah true also, those transparent ones dont really stick, unless you get those thick ones used to tape and seal up boxes.

i'm feeling quite sleepy too, travelled back to ipoh for the long weekend smile.gif
