the last two tame batches (called as amt, aircraft maintenance trainee) were all diploma holders
so if there are any other TAME or AMT intake, most probably they will require diploma holder and for junior tech, once in a while there will be some program called mechanic development program (i forgot whether they called it mechanic,or junior tech development program or something else ) but that program will take one batch of junior tech and train them to become LAE. so if you are a junior tech, you can join the program btw i've seen junior tech earning as much as 5-8k with maximum amount of overtime but that is only possible with third party aircraft but i dont think its possible now since the economy turndown where airlines are saving money This post has been edited by azameel: Sep 13 2009, 01:01 PM |

from jazzy's statement, "low cost carrier" i assume the tame program is from Air Asia
if you enroll in a tame program, you will be starting from basic as well during the training or calles as OJT, you will work together with the junior technician (JT) meaning you will do what a jt will do if you become jt first, once in a while there will be a program which upgrades jt to become lae you have to find your opportunity to enter the program im talking about MAS but if you enroll as a JT first, make sure you dont lose momentum to study, cause once you'll become a jt and get the pay, you will be tempted to do OT and gain more money rather than getting ur license in the end, the best way is still to enroll in a tame program, eventhough the training period kinda sucks in term of money and ranking |

QUOTE(lordchaos91 @ Sep 29 2009, 03:23 PM) so to everyone that is willing to tell me which route is the best that can lead me to a future to bcome a LAME with LWTR cuz they say TJT will always b TJT and hard to bcome LAME righT?? omg if i take EASA from NILAI...got LWTR??and 5 years working experience for EASA??where to get it oh??? TT as for tjt you have to do everything yourself and there is a tendency for u to stop studying halfway but technically, if you start from tjt, you'll get more experience to become an lae called them up or consult them ask everything about the program |

QUOTE(lionroar @ Mar 17 2010, 12:29 AM) so, in this career next time in the future, we will have to face dirty black oil and hot engines like the car mechanics back in town there? the oil doesnt neccesarily need to be black and the engines are not always hotin another way, yes we have to face them ok bad joke, but from my point of view, the lae rarely touch the dirty greasy part, most of them are done by the mechanics or technician but then, in certain ocassion, we have to get our hand dirty as well |

yes, you do
it doesnt matter what license you got but as long as you are an aircraft maintenance engineer, you have to work hands on,on the aircraft |

QUOTE I need instant help !! if i would to study in Nilai College for my diploma, will i be able to search for job in Malaysia? Is nilai college a certified college in Malaysia under LAN?do i get my LWTR in nilai? PLEASE HELP ME !! 03 7960 3089 or enquiry@nilai.edu.my Instant answer for an instant help QUOTE what is the point of this thread? this thread is here for people to ask more about this course. Somehow i feel offended by this statement, after all those effort i made, even not that much, this thread is considered pointless???PLz do note that this is a basic guideline only, for more specific question better to ask the respective parties. and remember we all help with no return, just for the sake of love for aviation industry. or maybe next time someone would ask, How many classroom is there in nilai college? |
