MIAT was an ATO. That was under the old syllabus(BCAR Section L) as per AN85.
It has expired lah... for crying out loud!

Sometimes you have no choice. If that is the best choice for your current financial situation I suggest you pursue it.

C'mon!!!
PTPTN loan deals with academic courses that are MQA approved. This is NOT. It's a professional course if you haven't noticed. |

Of course I am right lah! I do part time instructing at MIAT.
Why don't you call and ask them (APR) directly? APR is not officially represented here. They also have a Facebook page where you can make enquiries. Is that a difficult thing to do? camel90, well put. I found most students now are lazy to read.. |

With insufficient LIVE aircraft experience, can get work with degree? |

Expensive is subjective. What are you comparing it to? The price of an apple?
Again between MIAT and NUC, better in terms of WHAT? Cheaper? If you're so 'cheapskate'.. why bother studying? QUOTE(ferxze @ Mar 28 2012, 11:40 PM) |

Sometimes I wonder what you guys do on the internet. All it takes is google search or go to a company's webpage and look for 'careers'.. again I see 'spoon fed' culture in the younger generations.
Here it is if it's not 'too much work' for you to click. Sigh. http://www.airasia.com/my/en/corporate/careers_apply.page QUOTE(Baldy @ Mar 29 2012, 06:16 AM) Any body knows how to apply for Air asia Engineering department as an Aircraft mechanic.Any links or vacancies that is available if anybody is aware of it. They don't actually advertise to hire people.
Remember, they're low cost, cheap budget, cheapskate business model. If you have nothing else to do rather that hoping to get all the answers to life in this forum, I suggest you write emails, (real) mail to the HR department applying for a job or whatever. AirAsia get emails and mails by the thousands daily. I know because I was with AA. Do you need to be furbished, the mail address?email id?phone number? contact person? |

The bitter truth is, if you can't finance yourself into a Part 147 ATO, get your self into these Diploma twinned with a license programme (EASA or DCA Part 66) course, in view of getting the PTPTN loans etc.. you'll get there eventually (hopefully).

Hi Maryjane,
I know one company that put preferences ( they asked in the interview) if you have done Project Management courses, typically Check Management System. Yes, these are specialized course and can be costly (RM2K per head for 3-5 days course. Other value added course would be, Radio Telephony, Supervisory Skills, Leadership Skills, Team Building, Problem Solving & Decision Making to name but a few... The next question from you I expected to be, where to get these courses!, right? My answer: Good question! This post has been edited by jazzy939: Apr 2 2012, 07:43 PM |

maryjane,
good ground work there! honestly, I do not know any other ATOs that offers similar/ value added courses as per our discussion. Bear in mind that APR do not schedule these course regularly, as they are for 'on demand' only and/or there is a minimum of 10 registrations to warrant a class. Also the particular instructor may not be available for that class/course to run. I suggest you call them to get a better 'picture'... |
