if u are starting your career then join Air Asia or X because the basic pay is higher. You'll gain also on EPF saving.

personally i would say dont make a low starting pay a reason to decline an offer like that especially if you are new to the industry. of cos if you already have a better offer on the table then by all means. remember in this industry having experience is the one thing that will make you or break you and being given the chance to make a start regardless of how little it might pay at the beginning can be your passport to the industry. i know some people i worked with who came from other countries and literally worked for almost nothing as apprentices and they are EXCELLENT engineers. they will never be where they are today if they didnt forget about the fact they were earning nearly peanuts but it was more about what they took on board while doing so.

also a GA outfit may not sound as glamorous as an airline but sometimes it can be a better environment to learn because of the variety of jobs that you may carry out yourself there plus you may progress up the roles faster. don't get me wrongly im not saying an airline isnt a good place to do an apprenticeship its just that some GA trained apprentices are known to be more versatile as far as skills are concerned in my part of the world.

i know everyone will have their own opinion about this. just my $0.02

think its around 6-7k for fresh lae. senior will easily take home >10k.  correct me if im wrong
