QUOTE(azameel @ Sep 29 2009, 05:56 PM)
from my point of view, entering nilai would be better as it is more secured to become lae,
as for tjt you have to do everything yourself and there is a tendency for u to stop studying halfway
but technically, if you start from tjt, you'll get more experience to become an lae

called them up or consult them
ask everything about the program
*
I agreed with azameel. Go to Nilai.
If after my this diploma no airline hired and got money I will go Nilai lol. If la. Better to nilai than jt. I see the one who now a

QUOTE(cardin @ Sep 29 2009, 11:48 PM)
normally how long for JT to become LAE? is it 2 yrs training wif MAS/AA then sit for LWTR + 2++ yrs collecting work schedule?
*
There are several ways from JT to LAE. I just show what I know.
First is do it yourself. If you are hangar JT than collect work schedule and go for BCAR or EASA. BCAR i now sure i think is 3 years but Easa is 5 years.(experience) because MAS/AA not part 147.
If you are workshop JT, that you must give away everything, OT, time, life for that 5 years. After normal working hours, dont go for OT, go to hangar and OJT collect work schedule. Do it 5 years until you get your license. Haha

Second is join development program. But very long ago MAS got, but now like don't have anymore. Maybe did't open. lol

That what I know. Maybe there is another way I do not know lol

getting your EASA soon?
*
Yeah, one I get hired.

QUOTE(lionroar @ Mar 18 2010, 01:06 PM)
so, to get EASA licencse, we need to have at least 5 years minimum working experience?

i heard those studying in part 145/147 school, they need only 2 years?
*
in Part 147 is approved training school, 2 years of experiences, for part 145 is approved maintenance, 5 five years. Not even MAS or AA have part 147.

Yeah, quite busy haha

i got a big question.. can u tell me exactly wat to study after SPM to become a LAME... tnx

There are alot of way to be LAME, the problem is time factor. You need to collect 5 years of experience.

Even you just leave SPM you can straight become LAME, if you work for an airline then.
