Maybe u can share your exp working on big aircraft..is it a lot diff compared to business jet?

Yo george..easy lah that one,pls contact your qm to contact the local NAA desk officer who oversees the mro that u gained OJT from.

It just a letter saying that the qm who signed your application is the qm for that mro and the mro is part 145.

hi , i just finished my o-levels and im waiting for my results .

I'm playing to take aircraft engineering but i'm not sure which is a better way
I have two options ,

1- Get my  DCAM license with type rating at APR aviation training center(4 years program)
2- Get my diploma and degree in UniKL-MIAT , meanwhile i can do my DCAM license at there. (8 years program )

I personally feel that I should go for APR since it is more professional i can say ? But one thing I'm not sure , is diploma and degree an advantage to us ? is it needed for us to become a more successful LAE ? or is it just a waste of time and money since the most important thing to become LAE is the license .

I'm confused , I need help here

One last question , is there a need for me to pursue a Diploma if I want to become a LAE ? I just couldn't find an answer why should I pursue a Diploma .

Thought of popping by here real quick. I went for the APR course in late 2011 and got my DCAM B1.3 license last year, am currently working in the industry now as a LAME and just got my first type rating recently as well. Cheers and good luck to others interested in this field, but all I can say is, it's pretty much crowded here now which wasn't the case when I first started APR in 2011

Currently I'm aircraft approval holder for local airline, with CAAM ( former DCAM) Cat A license.

I want to ask whether can Cat A license upgrade to B2?

So far I checked AN not mentioned about upgrading license. Afraid mislooked.

If not then need to start fresh Cat B2..

Where was your training school? Have u gotten your basic license?

Local company in subang. I use the maintenance exp I gain there to get my easa license coz they send their aircraft to Singapore for phase check.

I was in Etihad airways too and there’s nothing u can do to convert easa license to gcaa license unless u have one type endorsed.

My current conversion is under a program, I don’t have to do the modules exam. Cost me Rm10k.

15 assessment to go. Total was 70, I did 55 in 3months time. Haha.. was busy with wedding,and a lot of business travel 😅 im the last person in my group 😅
