not jailbroken.
In step 2, select the firmware you downloaded, and then click 'start making ipsw file'

Hey, just a small question here. If i jailbreak my iPod Touch using the "tethered method", would it boot back to to original firmware when i reboot it, or would i have to restore the original firmware back to normal before rebooting it?

After you jailbreak using the tethered method, if you off your ipod touch, you cant on your ipod. you must connect to the computer and run the 1clickboot to boot your ipod touch

Oh, and if i run the clickboot back again, my iPod would be jailbroken back again?

Also, if i wish to install the original firmware back again, all i would need to do is to boot my iPod into DFU mode, connect it to iTunes, and restore my firmware?

Yes, connect to itunes, create backup, off it, make it into DFU mode, then restore to the original firmware.

Hi, how do you put apps into the ipod touch after jailbroken?
Sorry I'm new in this..

Edit : Thanks to both you and the author, the JB works great.

Thanks TS for starting up this Thread. Very helpful.

But one question. Say Ive got a collection of 3rd party apps downloaded into my PC, how do I get them into my ipod touch? Cydia n Installer downloads the apps direct to the ipod. I need a software that acts like iTunes to send the files to the ipod.

Added on February 21, 2009, 10:27 amLol... creating the new IPSW with Cywood helper reminds me of The Matrix.

No need to JB again.
If yours is 2nd gen most probably it's a tethered JB, so you need to start from step 5 using the Cywood Helper. <= this is for Windows
For Mac, you need to insert some commands in Terminal.

Baby T-Rex: Dont really understand ure statement but in the case of restoring the original firmware, ur best bet would b to download the firmware (IPSW) first onto your computer and then while holding the "Shift" button, click on Restore. A window will load up and just choose the IPSW you downloaded. It should restore your ipod to the original firmware. Good luck!
