sometimes emergency can use ma. Today nearly everyone owns a PC or notebook so lets say i am a office or friend house my battery flat i can straight charge

Nope, E71 dun support usb charging. N85 can.

saw someone selling their e71 with USB charging that day.

usb charger doesn't mean usb charging.

i also got a cable that's one end usb, the other end is normal charging point.

he said can charge thru pc wo i dunno but that what he said when i was interested with his e71

yeah...maybe the end connected to the phone is still the normal charging hole...but the other end is USB port shaped

I think the power input is through USB, while power output is through a charger jack.

google is your friend. E71 dun support charging through the usb port. Only via the charging port.

there's the USB jack, the flat one to connect to PC and there's the charging jack the small hole next to the power button...

the USB jack doesn't link to the battery but the charging one does hence it cannot be used to charge...

BUT if a USB adapter is made in such a way that it connects thru the charging jack, it will charge...maybe that's what it is...

Not through the USB port. Imagine having your conventional charger, with the main.........(what the hell do you call it? One you plug into your wall socket) changed into a USB jack.

like motorola...motorola only has a mini USB to transfer data and to charge...

no matter what ure saying if usb one side and the other side is th conventional charger head conclusion its taking power thru USB? Isnt that call its charging thru USB?

Yea yea whty nokia cant charge using USB to computer .... Actually it very useful

i guess...but not through the USB port on the phone like motorolas
