Yes.
Oh yeah and in V6 I was complaining about crackling with the earphones. Confirmed it was my remote, seems to have a bad connection. When I plugged the earphone directly to the phone, it was gone all the way. 2 hours with the phone moving about and no crackles. I need to get me a 3rd party remote. |

QUOTE(lordskarn @ Feb 2 2009, 11:05 AM) Thanks guys.. I tried leaving it on the charger for a long time, no response whatsoever.. Maybe it was the charger thats dead after all.. The charger ay?AsuKi, no new installs, phone was working perfectly fine.. I thought of corrupt software as well thats why I remove the memory card, but didnt work.. usually i dont install things directly into the phone memory to avoid corruption.. As for Nokia Maps.. lol.. I bought it because I was hungry.. I needed to locate a Domino's pizza branch in an unfamiliar location.. so I took the address, put it into Google Maps, get the coordinates, and bought and put it into Nokia Maps to get there.. hehehe.. after 1 month expired then I'll try install Garmin.. Anyway heading to Sunway now.. wish me luck..! It's abit weird for this phone. For most phones I've tried whenever the phone shuts down because of low battery you can always turn it on for a while longer and it shuts down again. It always has that bit of leftover charge. With this 5800, when the battery is low in charge till the point that it shuts down, it's off for good until you recharge it. |

QUOTE(alom196 @ Feb 2 2009, 10:15 PM) Mine can last 3 days with music listening for around 1.5-2 hours a day.I think for constant messaging. With all that haptic feedback, lights on, sending, receiving alarm......if you do not much else I think 2 days at least? OVI suite is just like the Nokia's PC suite. U can use it to transfer music, pictures, and loads others. Personally I think OVI uses a lot of system resources, and from my experience trying it once, it sometimes stuck while transferring. It'll always say "Waiting" in the status. Tried it over and over and still can't, I tried moving the files I tried to transfer to another directory on my PC and finally it worked. It happens more than once. OVI is too much of a hassle and slow. I use mass storage mode now to transfer my music, pictures and other media, waaaay faster and easier. I only use PC suite, and that's only for its Applications Installer. This post has been edited by tunertoobe: Feb 2 2009, 10:22 PM |

QUOTE(tcmean @ Feb 3 2009, 07:48 PM) yeah.. bought at the day i bought the phone at RM25 which i think it's expensive. But, the SP does not have any pre-cut holes at the proximity sensor there and yet it works fine. I bought another one from the forumer here for backup and applied the extra camera cover protector. How hard would it be to punch a hole using a paper hole puncher? Coz I've been thinking about that. |

Holy crap I just dropped my phone from the desk to my chair, and from the chair to the floor!
Now I'll check to see if I really do not have the earpiece problem. |

QUOTE(ridzyroo @ Feb 3 2009, 02:42 PM) have u watched the russian torture test for this phone???put inside washing machine for 15 minutes at 500 rpm unprotected...it could still be used after that...this is because, there is a sturdy metal body under all that plastic to protect the internal components... Hey, no wonder my phone is still alright after a two stage drop. Bro, have you received your Martin SP? Are they good, no pre cut holes for the sensor right? Hey one more thing guys, any good 3rd part remote controllers out there for my earphones. Seems the connection between my controller and earphones is what causes the crackles. The phone has a gold plug, maybe I should get one with a gold-plated jack as well. This post has been edited by tunertoobe: Feb 3 2009, 08:45 PM |

QUOTE(David900924 @ Feb 3 2009, 09:33 PM) u guys should take a pics with it ,morning, day, night, outdoor, indoor, close range, distance range, and post it in 1st page for ppl to review the cam quality. Bcoz now my doubt is in the cam quality pics, I hope can beat the nokia N73 series 3.2mp. It takes a bit of fiddling around to get a decent picture of the camera. For me I found that setting the scene mode to night portrait, white balance to cloudy, exposure compensation to 1.5, colour tone normal, light sensitivity medium, sharpness soft, and contrast normal gave me the best overall performance for various light conditions I've ever encountered so far.Don't worry, you can save your settings so you won't have to re-set everything again. |
